Picked this up for a beach buggy. I had one 15 years ago and just got the itch to tinker with another one.

Mickey Thompson wheels, tires, and lift are on the way. The tub will be color Line-X'd in the next few weeks. It's a 6 and slow as they come but I wanted one with a slushbox, A/C, hardtop, and hard doors. It's a solid driver.

I love the color. But I am prone to that color for a hooptie.

Nice Jeep. Give us a call if we can help you with any parts.

Thanks. I had forgotten how fun they are to drive although it's the slowest vehicle I've owned in a long time. At least I can take the family in this (although the wife ain't wild about sitting in the back....).

BTW, no one commented on how nice my grass looks. All this rain has done wonders for the yard but the humidity has slowed down my garage floor epoxy job. It's taken me a month of hump-busting weekends to do 2000 sq. ft. but I can finally see the light.

Lesson #1 if you are coating your garage floor:

Do it BEFORE you move in and have a kid.

Oh, and if anyone is looking for a car I highly recommend Joe Pierce at Lowcountry Auto Sales on Ladson Rd. He is a stand up guy and sells quality vehicles. He's a Creeker too.

Cool ride.

Your garage is 2000 sqft? Damn what does it fit 6 cars?

Hell my little 400 sqft garage won't be nothing for you to coat. I'll be on vacation next week, garage door code is 9403. Let me know what I owe you for materials :yourock:

4 cars the way it's laid out. It's an elevated house so the garage is the footprint. Unfortunately it's not elevated enough to install a lift. :boohoo:

Now that I am a pro at doing this my rates have gone up. If you had caught me a month ago I would have used your garage as my training facility and you could've gotten me cheap Mike.

Hope you didn't use quikrete or rustoleum, they aren't chemical or water resistant and flake up after 6 months or so.

We'll see. I'm worried about water seepage since I live in a V5 flood zone (read: 3K for flood insurance/yr.).

I can't speak for Quikrete stuff, but I spent 1100.00 for the ucoat it stuff you see on Hotrod tv, and mine pealed the very first time I drove the LTD on it. I was told that maybe the finish on the concrete wasn't rough enough for it to stick good. And all that stuff is a pain to do, I went through the acid wash, primer, and all, so I hope it works out for you. Those Jeeps are cool, espicially for the beach...:bigthumb:

DB, I don't think you are supposed to park on it after doing a burnout. I mean, hot tire pickup is one thing but smoking tire pickup is another.....

To help prevent the chance of lifting I'm putting down heavy duty perforated rubber mats (like you see in commercial kitchens) for each wheel temporarily and will probably install Racedeck tile once I get everything moved back into place.

I've got stuff everywhere and the He-Man Woman Haters' Club looks like a bombed Goodwill Store in Beirut.
