I know down further south in Beaufort county, if they catch you cutting down trees without a permit, there are huge fines.
We were doin a foundation for a house and they left a live oak tree within 3 feet of the house. It took an act of congress to be able to cut down the tree. The plans for the building should show which trees are there, cut the ones that aren't there down.

That is understandable when you are pulling permits anyway to building something from nothing.
I think Marcus will be fine.

I had 3 pine trees cut down in my yard in Goose Creek and did not have to get a permit. That was after Hugo. Unless they made a change, since then.

Off topic, when did you get another lightning Morey?
EZ03 would be the best person to ask on this subject but I think he is MIA from the message boards these days.

You can always say you told them to get off your property, but they just started to cut down trees. Then you tried to call the cops, but they came over and broke your phone in half.

If you are in Berkley County, you do not need a permit to clear, nor are there any regulations on the type or size of tree you can remove.

Berkeley County has no tree ordinance, so there is no permit for them to issue. Cut away, I just dropped one a couple months ago..:bigthumb:
