View Full Version : Ford OBD-II guys look inside.
Would anyone be interested in bringing Jim @ JDM down for a dyno tuning session.
I havenÔÇÖt talked to him yet, but IÔÇÖm sure if we had enough people to make it worth his time he might come down. . If there is enough interest; one of us could find out more details from Jim Jr.
BTW Im pretty sure all they tune with is SCT, so if you can get SCT for your vehicle he should be able to tune it.

If I had SCT I would be in but I dont and Im going to see Rick on Fri. If he cant get me dialed in I may switch to SCT and then I might be interested in the JDM tuning day

Being a former customer of them I would seriously switch to someone else . It took me almost 15 tunes to get my shit right ! I even rode up there and got tuned there and the tune was still everywhere . Ask Slowleen about their fine employee Bill and what he did to him .

Ive heard tidbits about this "Bill" guy. To be honest with you Rick got my truck dialed in perfectly the first time I got a dyno tune from him. The only part were I think he is lacking is in the Mail Order tune department. Im not willing to give up on Rick yet and dump a ton of money on another programmer and tuner for just that reason. Also the drive this weekend doesnt bother me b/c the wife and I were already going to Greenville for a wedding reception. Trust me my truck will not be there without my supervision, and no guy named Bill is going close to my truck. ( no offence Richard H. that doesnt pertain to you). But I do hear ya and will keep that in mind.

Jeff, Bill doesnt work there...so I wouldnt worry about that to much. The rumor went around that he was possibly employed up there, but he was actually up there with his friend tuning a car and did some tinkering on the car while it was there, he is NOT an employee. That being said, since Rick seems to be friendly with him after he knows damn well what Bill did to me, mike, and lucan...I will have nothing to do with him ever again mainly on the principle of "you are the company you keep"
I wont go into another reason why I wont go back to rick, despite the fact he is a pretty good tuner, i'll just say within the few months my car was tuned by him on his mustang dyno, to the time the new owner dyno'd the car...it amazingly lost 40rwhp. The tune was good, but im not the only person who thinks** he tinkers with his end numbers to look good (this is NOT FACT...just opinion from experiences).
I would drive 3.5 hrs to jacksonville and see Tony G. at HP Performance who have a much healthier resume of cars then amazon. After all, he's tuned tons of whipple/kb cobras, gt's, and even the 2 jax area twin turbo ford gt's. He also seemed to be a more upfront/honest person to me

Mike, maybe we can attempt to set this up when Daryl and Bill get their motors in and ready for a tune. That would make 5-6 vehicles, with three of them having JDM motors.
JDM is not just a truck tuner. They have a very close relationship with Saleen, and have a low 10 second Saleen Stang and a new Saleen truck that they are in the process of modding. They also have a naturally aspirated 05' GT that is in the 11's with stock cams.
