Copied from elsewhere

Just though I would share photos of one of the latest sandcars I got done tuning on Friday. We have done a LOT of these cars now, mostly with LSx, and Whipples... however this is the second BBC powered one.

Going fast is cool..... going fast, then jumping 150+ feet.....is WAY COOL!

632 Cubes
16:1 Compression
Big Duke Heads ported to the hilt
Manifold by Hogan
Big Stuff 3 EFI by HOB
Racepak Dash by HOB
Makes over 1000hp now, and will make even more with the dual TB that is coming. :)
(It was literally making vacuum the entire pull, thats how small the TB is)
Final numbers to come in a few weeks.

BY the way, this is NOT a wrap! This is all hand done airbrushing! To match the owners tattos.

I also have a killer wallpaper located at this link of the paint

I have some more shots of it on the Dyno. We actually had to buy a wider dyno to make sure this car will fit on it.
(Seriously, a standard dynojet is 75" and we got 86" rollers now, and it still hung a third of each tire off the rollers)
With the paddles, the car is 98" wide. (Millimeters, from the sides of the trailer)

This car will be getting more upgrades as soon as it gets back from its first trip to the sand dunes.
For the next two weeks its gonna be tearing up the 10,000 acres of sand in Idaho. Pretty killer power for a N/A motor!

Enjoy
Erik

Lots of it. There is wide open barren plains all over the place in Idaho. Theres also a lot of Mountains. God knows the places Ive been to in Idaho have no signs of human life.

Never heard about any barren plains in Idaho, I knew they had lots of gorgeous mountains, but no plains.

Double that number actually for this car......
Tranny alone is over 40K
You all know what a motor of this level costs.
Then add the EFI, manifold, fuel system, etc.
Then the LED bars, the Racepack system, the head sets.
It all adds up really really fast.

Its like building a 10.5w car..... for the sand.

Price ranges for these cars turn key can run anywhere from $60K-$250K

This is his answer to that same question.

More pics

Here is a group shot..... 3 of the cars we did. (The 4th may come soon)

From Right to Left.

Orange Car = 402 LS2, 3.3L Whipple, 850hp
Burning Money Car = 427 LSX, 4.0L Whipple, 970hp
Maroon Car = 438 LSX, 4.0L Whipple, 930hp
Blue Car = Stock LS2, Twin Turbos, unknown HP (We didn't work on it)

This is the "Burning Money" car, and it will do this at 90+ mph
Its one of the fastest out there, due to the power to weight ratio it has

http://www.houseofboost.com/ea/sandcars/DSC_0052.jpg

This is the other BBC car, its a 598 Cube motor, with standard heads.

http://www.houseofboost.com/ea/sandcars/DSC_0060.jpg

Opps....to much throttle. Its best when you can run out all 5 gears and the front tires never touch the ground. :)

http://www.houseofboost.com/ea/sandcars/DSC_0069.jpg

Closer shot of that car, and my retarded head.

http://www.houseofboost.com/ea/sandcars/DSC_0085.jpg

On its way up....I shot the photo to early.

Here is the 438 Cube LSX car up close. (Its frame hasn't been powdercoated yet. It will after this season, when it gets torn down for the winter.

http://www.houseofboost.com/ea/sandcars/DSC_0090.jpg

Here is the orange car, its 1,700 lbs and makes 850hp! Its to light, it has a hard time staying on the ground, and keeping traction. But its the scariest ride you will ever take.

http://www.houseofboost.com/ea/sandcars/DSC_0120.jpg

http://www.houseofboost.com/ea/sandcars/DSC_0130.jpg

It will do this, until you run out of room. (Or gear)

Here are two photos that I just took about 30min ago.......

This is a Mid-Engine car, made for long distance jumping.
Its a two seat car, made in TX.

Motor was a stock LS2 and was NA.

It now has a 427 Cube LS, with a 4.0L Whipple, and a BS3.
Think the customer will feel the difference :)

I am going back out to swap the tires to slicks now, since its making a little to much for the current tires to handle. (as per the piles of rubber behind the tires after 2 pulls) These wheels are the only way it will fit into a normal car trailer, since the car is to wide with the paddles on it.
