Appendicitis' Sucks!

I went to the doctor yesterday with bad pains in my side and woke up 6 hours later in recovery at Roper Hospital. It did not burst but was badly inflamed, so out it came. Even with insurance, the medical bills are going to be painful. Never thought my day would end like that.

Someone needs to buy my 26' Offshore center console. Cheap! Ad coming in classifieds.

I feel your pain. I had knee surgery Tuesday and have been stuck in bed these past few days. Hope you have a fast recovery.

I had my appendix swell up like yours 20 years ago when I was just 20 years old. That was the worst I have ever felt. Fever, abdominal cramps, blacking in and out, uncontrollable lower GI purge (nasty), etc. From my first symptoms to surgery was 4 days. It was a wonder it hadn't burst by then.

Talk about sore afterwards! Whatever stomach muscles they have to cut to get that little bastard out, it was a SOB to do anything that required stomach muscle activity for a while. I just hope you don't have to sneeze or cough for a while.

Glad you caught it in time. I had a buddy in high school that had his burst and they had to cut him from sternum to bellybutton to clean out all the infection.

Atleast the military didnt do the surgery. I ended up having 3 surgerys in 3 years from there mess ups.
