just what it says. my lightning is bone stock just the way they made it from ford. 2002 model i want to be able to get in the 12's on street tires. it can be 12.99 as long as it is somewhere in the 12's mid 12 would be just gravy.

Be a record breaker, lets gutt it wait till its 30* outside get some stp belt dressing for the tires and run a 12.9 all stock......
Seriously though the cheap way? Nitrous
The not so cheap way 6# pulley, Valve body, cold air intake, come get my ported stock throttle body, pull the blower off of it and bring it over so I can port it, get a handheld and a tune (not from amazon) slapper bars.

put a ls1 with a cam in it
It wouldnt make enough torque to run a 12 second 60'

i know nitrous works but i really don't want to use it on my truck. pulley swap sounds good.

I think it can be done with a 6# lower, CAI, tires and a good tune.
Mine went a very low 13 with a 4#, CAI, tires and a shitty tune.

I went 8.0's at dorchester and lowcountry with a 4# lower, stock blower, CAI, Exhaust and a crappy tune. But I cant remember if I had street tires or slicks at the time.
8.0's in the 1/8 are good for some 12's in the 1/4.

The only way to do that would be to tie a rope from your truck to his so you can pull him down.:poke:

A good tune with a CAI, 4lb lower, traction bars of some sort and a set of drag radials should easily net you a 12. I went a 8.07 1/8th on the same pass as a 12.66 pass at Jackson with those mods. I eventually got a 7.99 out of the 4lb lower and stock blower setup with drag radials. The 6lb lower does make a lot more torque than the 4lb but MOST motors need to upgrade the mass air with a 6lb lower.

i appreciate the good ideas. doesn't sound like it will be very difficult at all to get in the 12's.

dang, thanks for the confidence that my slow pos has enough in her to tow it. She barely makes it down the track on her own to hit 12's in the 1/8th. ;)
