This one has been bothering me for a while. I usually don't bitch about things but I have had enough, and figured everyone might enjoy this or bitch to the people themselves like I did. The "Pride gas station in Goose Creek is a rip off". Occasionally I go and purchase their race fuel for the Mustang. Well I noticed that it is $7.99 per gallon and I usually buy 5 gallons or $40.00 worth. Well I have used 2 different clear VP fuel jugs and 1 clear Sunoco fuel jug with the same results in all 3 jugs. You pay for 5 gallons and the fucking towel heads only give you 4.5 gallons. I have confronted the man and his barely understandable wife and they say that they are state inspected monthly or whatever. They were very rude, and I even showed them the jug. They didn't want to hear it, all they kept saying was state inspected, state inspected, and pointing to the certificate on the wall. Well after doing some checking on that, the state only regularly inspects pumps that sell over-the-road fuel. Not pumps that dispense off-road only fuels. So with race fuel out of the pump they can calibrate the pump however they want. Well I am done giving the towel head family a $4.00 or so dollar tip, every time I purchase 5 gallons. I even purchased 5 gallons from the Shell or Exxon on Savannah Highway, and their pump dispensed exactly 5 gallons, so I know my jugs are correct. So if you get fuel there stand for warned..

I talked to the owner of The Pride a few years back. He was a white guy that was driving a mid-90 Impala SS that was running in the 6's. Do you know for sure the Indians bought the station? I know they are the same ones that have been working there for years.

Maybe if the white guy still owns it, we could get some resolution from him, considering how many on this website use the Pride for gas.

The indian family owns it now. I was in there one time bitching about the price and he said if I found it cheapier he would beat it but thats probably because he is screwing you out of a half gallon for every five.

Hell it might be worth while to pump a couple of gallons of regular fuel into a jug, because that might be messed up to. I have never seen a white guy there, but they do have the insence burning that is for sure..

I was there yesterday and purchased 5 gallons in a race fuel container as i have done SEVERAL times for MANY different people and when it was all done and said with i BARELY got 4 gallons, i bitched and complained and they told me state inspection, state inspection, state inspection blah blah blah, He came out there and saw that it SAID 5 gallons but there were only 4 in my fuel container, and he accused me of pumping a gallon in my truck, which i DID NOT!!!! Needless to say, that is THE last time i will ever purchase any type of fuel there i dont care if its for a damn moped!

Yep, that's Rusty Stewart's Exxon station. He also sells ethanol free gas for boats.

Yeah, I know Rusty, my wife and I went out on his boat on the 4th. The Notch is a very nice car, if I hadn't already got 1/3rd of one, it would be a great one to get.

You guys pay $8 a gallon for race gas? Stuff only cost me $2.39 a gallon for race gas at the sunoco on N. Rhett and Rebank :D











Sucks that they do that. But isn't that also the same place that gets water in the "race fuel" tanks as well?

I remember you telling me about that darryl. This is crazy and i'm pretty sure illegal for them as a business to be charging somebody for goods they are not recieving. They won't be getting anymore of my business.

Well, now were are we gonna get gas from? Theyre like the only gas station in the creek and Nchas that sells anything more than 93.......

I have gotten bad gas from there too, I alwayse got 5 gal according to my can but I have gotten stuff that was nowhere near 110.

If he's running sunoco 100, he might as well just buy 93. That gas is junk, I could run more timing with 93 and methanol than with that junk.
