I signed up on here around February this year and just never made a post. I normaly just see what's going on around the tracks.
I frequently go to Jackson, and I ran up at Dorchester once or twice.
I have a purple 90 Eagle talon. The thing moves prety good. I'm hoping to have the car back up to jackson next weekend to set some new personal bests.

On the outside yes. The body is all stock. In the engine bay no where even close

I haven't been to jackson in about a month. But yes I have a laptop that I use to tune the car.
I think I'm the only purple one around here.
I took the car down to install a new drivetrain:
Dogbox trans, Driveshaft, 4bolt rear, and driveshaft shop prorace rear axles.

very nice times. What kind of 60ft does that thing do? I assume that was with the hoosiers all the way around.
Are you just turbo'd? no nitrous or meth injection on this? You think you will go 10.xx this year? Stock block? Curious on how much those cars can handle before they flip you the bird.
LilRedEclipse

Those runs were before the hoosiers. I was only getting 1.8 60's. The 1/8th miles for both passes were 7.4@102. The car was spinning badly out of the hole and it would spin in 2nd as well.
It's turbo'd at 30psi and runs on E85. These things can handle alot if done up right. Depending on how picky you want to be these engines have seen 6's-RWD in the 1/4, and 7's AWD.
If you guys want check out youtube John Shepherd and Brent Rau. They are the two with the fastest right now.
I have my mods list I'll get up here in a little. If you guys have any questions feel free to ask.

u should think of runing a destroked 4g64 block. something like a 2.3 or 2.2.. it would allow u to still run high rpm's and yet give u the displacment.
good choice on the shep ppg dog box. their stag4 is the great but the dog box is deffantly where it is at..
mind me asking what first gear you are running. did you run a galant vr4 first or are u runing the 1st gen first.
gotta love e85.. u thinkin of running e92(race e) for big races or do you think that the e85 has the ability to handle what you have.

I had a stock trans (92-94). Never had a modified one in the car. If E85 ever spreads around I will be doing the e100/Q16 mix. Seems to make alot of power. The E85 does the job though, but when you are trying to get every bit of power out then you need something a little more.
Im planing on a 2.2 bottom with a weightless crankshaft. That thing should do pretty good. Right now my Grp/Wiseco combo is damn light and rev's good enough for the turbo I have.

if u are really serious about going 2.2 please destroke a 4g64 it will provide u with more room. pm if u want more details.

look into e92 it is quite a bit cheaper than q16 even at a discounted rate a 55gallon drum is 860 right now.. pices went up 2 months a go like 200bux. but if you are goin to mix go with c13 it has very very similar poperties to the q16 only diffrene is the compression ration that it allows is different.and c13 is like 450-500 for a 55gallon:)
if u want more info on the c13/q16 shoot me a pm ill get u everything u need.
grp is the way to go.. look int a castalino v cut crank if u want weightless setup. u also may want to look into kelford 280 race cams they will outperforme the bc 280 all day in the power curve.
i will be seeing u in fayetsville for the dsm/sti/evo/wrx shoot out.

Hey Chris, when are you going to Jackson? I'm thinking about hitting Darlington... I went to Jackson once, but it has too many backroads to get there from where I am coming from.

I get it in Yemesse(SP) , Charleston, and right by dorchester.
I have no clue how much power it's making. It would be nice to know. I street tune it myself.

Almost 90% of Horrizon gas stations in SC has it. So if you have one near you check it out. I know the one in charleston is near Showzone. On the same road. The one I found near Dorchester is off of I95 on the way into Dorchester.
