There should be about a 10 mm nut on the side of the transmission drivers side.
Have someone push the clutch to the floor.
Loosen / crach the plug until fluid comes out.
Tighten her up.
Pump the pedal a couple of times and TO THE FLOOR AGAIN. and hold it
Loosen it up , when fluid comes out CLOSE IT.
Repeat this process a couple of times. Of course checking to make sure it is taking the fluid.
That is the way I have done it and do it and never have a problem. SHouldn't take no more than 10 minutes MAX to bleed the clutch.

Are you talking about the nut attached to the slave cylinder? If so that is inside of the bellhousing and there is a little access groove to get to it on the side of the trans. That is going to be a bitch, because all the fluid will run into the bellhousing. I wonder if having a new/dry master cylinder will cause more problems.

Sorry, wrong transmission i thought of
Here is the t-56
Pop the res. cap off. Unbolt the slave cylinder from the tranny. Push the rod in by hand and hold it in place. Crack open the line and have someone slowly press the clutch in till all the air is out. Be sure the resevoir does not go empty. close the line while the clutch is still moving down so no air can get in. release the rod and let it slowly come back out. Some times pushing the clutch allittle helps. Do not stomp the clutch. The push rod can pop out. That is bad. Push the rod back in 3/4 of an inch and close the properly serviced resevoir. Reinstall the slave cylinder. Pump the clutch and make sure it feels smooth

It won't run into the bellhousing, it sticks out just enough. Bleed it just like manual brake bleeding, since you can't put a hose on the bleeder you have to just open it and close it really quick. If we finish up my rear end early enough tomorrow, I can help you.

This must be for a viper or mustang, couldn't be for an f body t56.

Filled the trans up with 4 qts of Delco Synchromesh, replaced the clutch master cylinder and attempted to bleed the clutch for 3 hours. I can not get this thing to firm up at all. I have gone through a bottle of brake fluid too...
Anyone have any ideas? No one around here has a mityvac. Hell, the people at the parts store around here think I am asking for a mini car vacuum.
I need to get this thing done asap.

does the master cylinder sit flat? we bled GG when we had it on the rack and wasnt hard wo do. did you bench bleed the master cylinder first? we have had a few before that we have bleed forever and we just had to drive it using the clutch as much as possible and if eventually firmed up. sometimes after they sit for a while like over night then go back in it and pump the pedal small pumps it will slowly get better

The master cylinder has no way of sitting flat due to the way it comes through the firewall. I did not bench bleed the slave, so that's probably a big issue there... MonteC is hooking me up with his mityvac so I am going to give that a shot. I really hope its not bad slave cylinder... I don't want to pull the transmission out again!

we have had some fords where the clutch master cylinder sits at an angle where the front it lower and we take and run the front of the car up in the air to make it level and bleed them that way. hope you get it

Thanks man, I may give that a shot too. I really hope the mityvac takes care of the issue.
I still need to get the car to you to touch up the exhuast... I got the y-pipe worked out on my own, but still need the magnaflow tips welded back on and a small extension added to the i-pipe.

Will do! The damn pressure plate was also stuck to the clutch... had to start it up in gear and hope for the best. It all worked out though.
