If you are doing it inside a trailer, couldn't you just tape some black plastic from wall to wall and ceiling to floor? Easier, cleaner, cheaper and might be spookier since it's all black.

kids will tear that down. they are amazing in thier ability to tear stuff up, even when they dont mean to. just a byproduct of being crazy and having fun
thought about wood, canvas, bed sheets.
most of that stuff would require drilling into the trailer.
i am thinking hay will just SIT there, and not be movable.
and, i want to make a few places you have to crawl thru a tunnel. just dunno how to make sure the fat kids can get through!?!
wife found some glow in the dark footprints.

Man that's a tough one. That is going to be alot to cram into a 24' trailer to begin with- the haybales will probably take up way to much room.
But i see your point on the kids tearing down anything taped up....

yeah, as thick as bales are, if the trailer is 8.5 wide, there won't be much room left.
i am thinking we should get a full load of bales, and just make the maze into, thru, and out of the trailer, in order to make it long enough to be worthwhile.
i can only do so much.

here is what i been working on.
the bales are from 18 to 20 inches wide, so you really can't get too complicated,
Each block represents 1 square foot
trailer should be
8.5 feet wide
24 feet long
6 feet on tailgate.
Bale of hale should be 2 feet wide by 4 feet long.

each bale is abt 19.2 inches wide

Big D, thanks.
your folks are A-Ok.
had a good time talking to your Dad about the future prospects of that rolling chassis of a S-10 in the field.
we got ~50 bales (your mom was supposed to be counting, but was too busy keeping the attack dog off us) that filled about half the trailer.
we made the maze, and we have enough left to make some maze in/out of the trailer, i hope.
good people, thanks again.
