is it a drunk fest, and a big mess?

or just a good time?

we been wanting to go,
we do the youth at church, might take some the kids if it is a good atmosphere.

got a buddy goes to Bowman, but he goes Sunday during the day, and stays into the wee hours.

that's hard to take the school age kids tooo :boohoo:

what do you recommend?

I'd recommend Bowman over Dorchester in your situation. Check out Bowman's schedule here (http://www.bowmandragway.com/schedule.htm). Ronald keeps it up to date pretty good.

don't go to dorchester for a youth group haha. but bowman would be good for it. and that would be a nice trip for a youth group haha. i wish my church did such things when i was a kid.

went to bowman tonight

was a pretty good time, but sure kids would be bored.

tracks that don't show the ET/MPH on a billboard are terribly boring for spectators, because you have no idea how the cars are doing

grudge racers never show times.

I agree and I said the same thing. It's because when you come in they put n/t on the car and assume that you are grudge racing I guess. I think if you don't want your time posted you should have to put the n/t on yourself, so they should ask first

I dont think Bowman has a board to show times anyway.

i heard him calling the "gambling cars" around

did not know they openly supported it.

yeah, neither did Goose Creek

but i think Goose Creek called them out, but you could not hear them anyways.

it's just boring as crap to set there and go "um, looked fast"

"um, lookedfaster"

"um, maybe he was sandbagging it a bit"

"oh, ok, that was a test & Tune run"

i just don't think a group of kids would get into it without the times.

because they could each like at least one car (the granny 4door regal last nite?) and be interested.

No no, Gambler cars are cars that are in a open field bracket race. No Time cars are the grudge cars.

Or bring LXtasy. It's crazy how he can rattle off a time within a tenth or two.

You get a timeslip when you race, If there were scoreboards 90% of the time most cars would have N/T written on them.

And Goose Creek (Lowcountry) did show times unless you had N/T written on it.

The rest of the guys are right carry a stopwatch, or use your phone, most phones nowdays have a stopwatch on them.
