Shelby Autos teamed with Ford Racing and top suppliers such as Borla and Baer to develop the concept. The red 2007 F150 regular cab truck features a custom functional hood and fascias, black Super Snake stripes and Alcoa Shelby wheels. The 5.4L engine was tweaked to churn out 475 horsepower through the automatic transmission while 6 piston Shelby brakes were added to stop the beast. The suspension was lowered 3 inches and tightened up to improve handling.

Enthusiasts can choose to have the entire package applied to their truck for the ultimate Shelby. However, the styling and the power/handling upgrades can also be installed individually.

ÔÇ£WeÔÇÖll install the Super Snake package for the F150 at the Shelby Autos facility in Las Vegas,ÔÇØ added Gary Davis, Shelby Autos vice president of production. ÔÇ£In order to maintain the high level of quality and performance demanded by real enthusiasts, weÔÇÖll only build a few thousand per model year.ÔÇØ

The Ford F150 Super Snake post title package includes:
ÔÇó Whipple supercharger kit
ÔÇó Borla exhaust system
ÔÇó DJM suspension
ÔÇó 3.73:1 rear axle ratio
ÔÇó Shelby-designed 22-inch wheels and tires with Pirelli P Scorpion tires

It doesn't say Shelby in nearly enough places.

I have noticed that trend on all things Shelby. Drives me nuts.

I am trying to fugure out why there is a vent in the tonneau cover.

I agree they could take his name off and it would still look good. Sometimes I wish he would just die already.

I am trying to fugure out why there is a vent in the tonneau cover.

I was wondering the same.

Upon closer inspection, it looks to be closed off-for looks only. The tonneau is kind of shaped like a GT500 hood.

It looks like they picked it up at pepboys because that vent isn't functional.

That vent is bothering the hell out of me. But the rest looks badass. If the protoype is produced i'm sure the vent will dissappear.

Price? or is it the " its a shelby, why ask on price?"

As all things modded at Shelby, I am figuring the price will be in the "Arm, Leg, 1 nut and half your pecker" range. It is rediculous what they want you to pay for what amounts to some reasonably simple mods. I thought Saleen was bad; but, once you go beyond a GT500, Shelby automobiles are priced way beyond their value. The cars aren't really that spectacular, either. I just read an article in Motor Trend about the Hennesy Camaro, Shelby Super Snake and (I forget the tuner) Challenger. They, rightfully, called the Shelby a dyno queen. Lots of power, lots of style; but cannot use it at all. I guess they (Shelby) are more worried about finding places to put the name on a vehicle that they are about building a complete package.

Maybe the "vent" is there to breakup the air, to be more turbulent. The raised section could be there to make the cover more resistent to vibration. I imagine that is why they place all the pressed reliefs in the roof. That or to collect rain water to drink later.

True; but look at the GT500 hood. Kind of similar IMO.

so since the stock 5.4 f-150 has 300+ hp and dynos to an actual 219 rwhp I guess the overpriced 475hp shelby super snake should be a dyno queen at maybe 285 rwhp?

You can keep the dyno queen. that truck is only for those people who need a tow vehicle for thier KR to get to the car shows.

If they made it in a regular cab without the giant wheels it might be pretty stout.

regular cab short bed would be perfect. Know without getting shit on for mentioning weight but when i went to the steel yard they weighed my f150 supercrew like the SS and it weighed over 6k lbs fully boxed frame adds weight. makes it a slow pig too.
