What does everyone recommend as for as a shifter for a full manual vb aod? My stock one isn't cutting it anymore, and I'm not sure on which aftermarket one I want to go with?
Also gate or ratchet style. Any input is appreciated.

Call Holcomb Motorsports, I believe Hurst make a shifter for the AOD. I love the hurst quarterstick were using in the white car.

Ed bought the Hurst Model # 3162009 for the notch.

As we found out the hard way, you will still need an adapter for it to work with an aod.
This is B&M part # 40496

oh yea, we don't have any input/feedback, and probably never will. The car will easily have the record for longest "welded to jack stands" vehicle on CHP. Been 13 months just to change the oil pan gasket and rear main seal ona stock 302 :hysterical:

Both of you don't hate cause either your shit is slow or doesn't move. :poke: :finger:
so as of now the hurst quarterstick seems like an option to look into.

I think Mike only needs a 3 speed. OD is turned on electronically, At least that's the way it is in the Lentech Manual Valve Body. He might still be able to use a 4 speed though.

My shifter is a pistol grip pro shift, but not sure if B&M or Hurst makes it. As far as jack stands, mine has been on them for a year and eight months, but she might get to see what concrete feels like soon..:bigthumb:

Whatever, i drove my car there in order to data-log. I got the info i needed in order to fix a few things, and happened to hang out and win a meaningless trophy in the process. Hell i was happy just to be back in town and driving it.
With that said what i do with "MY" car is my business, and I really shouldn't have to explain it to anyone. I was simply asking for shifter recommendations not bs.
And PS my "show car" is still faster than your "race truck" so :boohoo:

SHOW CAR! I used to have a hurst in my regal. I liked it better than the B&M that was in it before I bought the hurst.
