mini tub or 4 link?

i have a 79 base model firebird. i plan to mini tub but not sure if i wana use the leaf springs or use the 4 link i have. with the 4 link i know i have a ton cut out and install new frame rails. but what all i needed to keep the leaf springs? i would like to fit a mt 295/65/15 radial om a 15x10 thats if i use the leaf springs.

well cut what you need to fit the tires. then relocate the leaf mounts and purches further in to clear

you can ride by and look at the mini tub in my 77 Nova if you want.

looks like a fair amount of work to make it look RIGHT (mine don't)

I have mini tubs with ladder bars on my 78 Firebird. I have the tires off for the winters. I can take pics of it for ya and email em to ya If u want em?

you may as well have a look at one in person if you can.

i am amazed at how much work was involved with my mini tubs.
cut the trunk hinge braces off, shorten, re weld.

cut the spring perches off, put in a new cross bar, tack, weld & gusset all that in.

reweld lower perches on.

section wheel wells, cut inner body panels.

re weld it all up.

its a LOT to do
