Damn.. What part of "Carnivorous predator" do people not understand? It fuggin kills and eats things - a true, natural born killer.

I feel no sadness for anyone that tries to keep one as a pet and gets mauled by it, either.

Yep, there's not enough cannibals in the world to eat all the stupid people.

There's always different reasons why animals are placed in zoo's. Most likely this tiger would be another tiger's bitch in the wild.

Well, he still has one arm left. Maybe he can go back to the Zoo and sit by the Polar Bear cage and see if they want to be petted.

From the accents of the people in the video I was wondering for a minute if they built a zoo in North Charleston

So you're against zoos?

yes. their is only a couple reasons a wild animal should be in captivity. one is because they are close to extension and are being repopulated. second is that they are hurt and need medical attention until they are able to be released back into the wild. would you want to be held behind bars so other people could look at you and make you perform for their amusement?

Do you have any pets? Do you eat meat? One could make up a great argument against either of those.

Do you know anything about zoos?

I thought this was a pretty good explanation that I found online:

"A zoo gives people, who would otherwise not get a chance, to see exotic animals up close and personal in hopes that they would care about the animals enough to not let them die off. Zoos also do research in order to provide a better understanding of wildlife and give endangered species a chance at remaining on the planet."

I have a bird in a cage 24/7.

I keep our dog in a kennel when we are not home.

And I have fantasy's of tieing my wife up..........oh shit.... wrong thing.

I believe zoo's are needed for educational purposes. To me it is a controlled environment that if out in the wild a researcher could be malled by alot of different species at the same time.

i respect everyone's opinions and beliefs. he asked me a question and i gave him an honest answer. you both have valid points. if you read my response i included the need to keep animals in captivity if they are endangered or hurt.
