New Project car

Can't believe it, finally got another project car. Its a 67' Shelby clone which I hope to turn into a pro touring car. It has a 390ci with 4spd toploader and a 9" rear end. Thinking about going with a PPG Black and satin black Shelby stripes.

Honestly, I looked real hard for a 69' Camaro and couldn't find a rust free body in the mid-west and when I did the price was excessive. Last week I spotted a 70' S Code Mach 1 and lost it to a higher bidder.

Saw this fastback with the expensive Shelby mods already done and couldn't pass it up. Notice the shaved handles/locks?

Only one stipulation with the wife, I have to sell the 4spd and install an auto trans. I think she intends to drive it.

just make the tranny the last thing you do. this way she will forget about it. If she remembers just tell her your over budget and the manual has to stay. :) Then hand her a day spa package and she'll be ok with the manual.
