If you live in or about Goose Creek be warned! This is the time of year I have several police cars at my shop, doing radio and light work. Well it is normal practice to put my customers vehicles in my shop at night, and leave my service vans outside. Arrived at the office the other morning, and one of my installers had started one of the service vans to let it warm up. He came to me a told me it sounded kind of loud. So I went outside to take a listen, and looked under the van and someone had sawed off the cateletic (spelling) converter, and stole it. There was even a broken saws-all blade still under the van. I called GCPD, and they came and did a report, and the finger print thing and came up empty. I guess thats the shit that happens when millions of people are unemployed..

They won't get much for cats off of american vehicles. Be thankful they haven't started stealing the condensers yet. Copper pricing has gone back up some again and we have noticed it being back on the rise. Hard these days just to replace one piece of equipment because of the new seer ratings and the overly priced 22 systems due to it being no longer manufactured as of 12-31-09. Watch those units carefully. You might have to build cages if you start missing some. FYI

GM has some converters that say AC on them and they are prolly the most profitable for the american veh

Damn sucks Darryl. Back when metal was up they hit Saturn for over 25k worth and they got that rv place next door which I couldn't imagine the costs on those cats. Almost all of our cats are on the Manifolds which again if they want those they gotta work for it.
