Paid 29k for em, Good Year threw in a free Ford F-150 with the deal.

Which tracks are open now and are working. I am ready to bring the car out, but don't want to waste my time if the tracks aren't working. Did anyone see any high hp small tire cars make it down any of the tracks or is it still to soon for the tracks to work.

Depends on what you consider high horsepower and small tires.

Carolina, Darlington and Bowman are all hooking well.

Horsepower is 850 on motor and 1100 on gas on 10.5 tires. Does that qualify as high hp and small tires, and this is a small block ford. I haven't had the car out in over a year and am ready to resume racing now, thats why I asked about the tracks. Last time I was at Dorchester never made a full run. 60ft was good but top end was wild. Midway I never got to the 60'. Hit second gear before the 60' so I went home. Now I just don't want to waste my time. The car runs in the mid 5's on motor.
Thanks for the help

Not many people on here that can tell you how well your car will hook at that hp level.

whiff97
03-16-2010, 11:28 AM
I am not really concerned about the hooking, its making it down the track. The car runs 122 mph on motor so it gets exciting at the big end if the track is loose.

I think that Dale box and that mustang was putting down some power also that little white s-10 with no problem at Bowman

I am in Summerville. It is a bad ride and a good ride too :). You may have seen the car at the track. It is a yellow with black stripe with Crazy Horse on the rear window. I have had the car for 5 yrs and have progressed to this point. Like I said it is a sbf 434 ci with Yates heads and sheet metal intake, jesel valve train, car weighs 2400 lbs dry, has a powerglide, 1150 pro systems dominator, 60' is 123 on motor, havent shot it but one time so am going to try hopefully this year. The one time the 60' was 118 and wheels up and wheelie bars dragging. I will try Bowman next weekend and see what happens. Hope to see you guys there.

I do grudge race it and the guys hate it when they get beat by a sbf. There is a race on Utube with my car against another mustang at Dorchester. He was running a BBC, I jumped by a hair and beat him real bad, it hurt his feelings :).
I ran at Cooper River but with a different motor. I put up more pictures so you can see the car and if you know it. By the way the name is Mike.

We had a lot of people from the board for the Top Dog races. I don't know about any grudge races.
