View Full Version : well it was a sad day
i watched a young kid drive my car away. he bought it. i hated to sell it but needed too for financial reasons. it made me sick to my stomach to know he will wrap it around a tree in the future. i need to start drinking.:pol:

Sorry to hear it is gone. I know you liked that car. What are you planning on replacing it with?

i sold my 4x4 w/bbc 468,35's,lift,winch and all the goodies to a young kid about two weeks ago. i built the truck from ground up. i watched as he burned the tires up when he left and raced it down the road wantin to puke. he called me this passed sunday to tell me he blew the trans up in it muddin. i know how you feel..
it did 509/487 on a stingy dyno . these are honest numbers. belts off it made 541/507. it had about 20-30 rwhp/rwt left with porting of the fast and a 4in cai. the guy was probally about 19 or 20. i had toyed with the idea of adding a 100 shot, but never got around to it.

At that age he'll be fine, hell I bought my Cobra at 19 and it made over 500rwhp before I even turned 20. By my 21st it was over 600rwhp and 700rwtq, if he's got any brain cells he'll be alright.

ive had my camaro since i was 13 and my TA since i was 15, those are the only 2 ill probably hold on to as long as i can, the worst was when i sold my TBSS, i drove it to dallas for the guy, he didnt even test drive it and said yea its "pimp" and drove off in it.

i do not know why some tuners do that. must be to pump up the numbers. i told the guy to post the real numbers as it sits. that is the only thing i am instrested in.
he told me his previous cars were an r32 which he modded up and a 06 ctvs. he said he thought the other 2 were fast until he drove the gto. lol

if he's had a ctsv he should be fine. he at least will understand the principals of it and the risks. and the experience helps. sorry ya had to let go of such a monster, but now you can set your sights higher
