I have mine, both brothers have thiers. My fiance will be getting hers as soon as possible this summer. Also going to try and get my future father in law to take the class and get his. Although he has to have a Constable's designation for his work he still needs the CCWP I am pretty sure.

I have been on the schedule 3 different times to take the class and been canceled on. I need to go get it done. Until then I will continue to be illegal.

I had mine for 5 years now. Im more likely to forget my wallet than my pistol. Once you get your SC, send off and get a FL permit. It allows you to carry in almost all the states on the east coast. I let my SC expire a few months ago since I moved and just have a FL permit now.

Those that got canceled on was it because of lack of people signing up? Im with Zac on getting a CHP day, i know of at least one other who may join in.

ATP's deal is a little more than most but they handle the fingerprinting as well.

Although, CPD will probably still have mine on file from the 80's.

Yes, I was canceled on because of lack of participation. I was trying to do the Tuesday, Thursday evening class at ATP. I thought that was better than taking up my whole Saturday.

For those who dont know i just called ATP about classes and he said they will do a class any day of the week as long as we have at least 5 people.
Its an 8 hour class that doesnt include range time and start time depends on us. I asked about starting at 7am on a week day and he said they will work with us.
Im up for a weekday as not to waste a whole saturday but im not sure how many of you can get off during the week?
Wes mentioned tues or thurs, i can make thurs next week would anyone else be interested in that date?

He also said the saturday class is pretty much a go every weekend if that would suit some of you better.

Im self employeed, by my wife isnt. So a saturday would probably suit us better.
I think there is enough of us to do two classes. A weekday class and a weekend class.

I could do evenings or weekends. I cant really justify taking off work for this.
BTW what kind of price are we talking about?

Yeah, that does suck to have to pay a fee to exercise a God given right to self defense via firearms.
At least in Alaska and Vermont, no concealed permit is required at all to carry concealed or open carry. Arizona currently has legislation in the works to remove the requirement of possessing a carry permit to carry concealed.
How come we don't have to pay a fee to the government to get a permit to exercise our right to free speech, (1st Amendment)?
At least the criminals don't have to pay to carry their piece! Just another example of the government looking out for their own kind.
If we ever give up exercising our 2nd Amendment rights, the government will meet no resistance to taking away the other 9 items in the Bill of Rights.
BTW, ATP regularly has a Saturday CWP class every Saturday with no cancellations that I have ever heard of in a long time.

I was looking at Thursday April 1st.
We will need at least 5 for a weekday class.
The guy i spoke with also said if you can get 10 or more people in a group they will do a Sunday class. Im not sure how much advanced notice they need for a weekday/sunday class. Maybe someone can check, ill be out of town this weekend.

You guys need to remember that this is an 8 hour class...I know ATP has it where you can split it up in two 4 hour classes at night, which might be easier on some....
