Yes and no. A purse is what will attract alot of racers to an event. If you keep cutting down the purse you will piss off alot of people and not have your events no more.

Its not a Test and tune event. Some people have tons of money 100k+ into their vehicles and a weekend of racing is EXPENSIVE so any little bit helps. This event had people from all over the southeast there. Fuel, food and others items aren't free.

Thanks guys- it was hot as hell, the air wasn't too good for going fast, but I had a good time anyway. It was my first time on the 275 radial and I went 5.06, 5.05, 5.07, 5.10, 5.05, 5.10.
Not to bad for the little tire and terrible air. I think I can go really fast on that tire, I just need to get in some decent air.

They did cut the purse and yes I was pissed, but $2k isn't bad for a few passes.

I weighed 3225 so yeah, that's probably close with the 94mm. I just turned my boost controller and launch RPM down so that I could go down the track every pass just barely faster than everyone else and it worked. I took the "be consistent and make them beat me" approach. I normally 60' anywhere from 1.22-1.25 but this weekend I had it slowed down to 1.30-1.35. I'm sure it looked like a dump truck until half track.
