and ive always had a thing for them.. i hate the z3 but love the coupe. and i have one of the rarest bmw bolt patten rims that would fit it in my posession. the ame circa spec. the price range varries tho to be honest ive seen 9k lowest and 22k top of the map.

66/67 Chevelle.

i don't know where they were produced.. i dont think they were made in greer tho.. only reason i say this is because the z3 was made their it was a similar platform but it is still a different car. i can do a little homework and find out tho.

ohh and post a pic of ur obtaniable car. give a few pics and insperation. possibly:)

White, Yellow or Black. If Yellow or Black I would want a vinyl top. I wouldn't want a V6 car, would have to be a v8 car... the more stock the better. It would be a weekend cruiser and I would not mod it.

The M-Shoe (coupe) is a unique car. I wouldn't get one with anything less than an S54, though.

I've been into/Owned BMWs since '98. Some models are good..some not.

My dream car (which will be a reality in about 5 years):

is that an m3 evolution? or whatever they call it looks like one with the factory wide body.

///Mcompact
06-06-2010, 11:58 PM
It's a standard E30 M3 (with Evo III rear spoiler and front lip). The body is the same, though. There are a lot of different models that came out in Europe and I'll have the chance to pick one up since I'll be living in Germany, but I don't want to bring one back. There's a reason why Germans are buying Porsches in the US and having them shipped back to Germany. It's cheaper. I'd rather just own a US spec when I get back.

ive liked the car for its looks never got into them tho.. im sure its a great car i know a few people who want one.
whats the deal on it being a 4cyl? any specs on it?

in all honestly i never got into bmw till the shoe was around.. and i drove a few smg e46 and enjoyed them for their all around amazing car capabilities.

but i will say the new m3 with the v8 got my attention in a big way. if i hit the lotter id have 2..:) one that was stupid quick and one that was just a great daily with a few tasteful modds.

but thats not obtaniable to me at this point in life *come on powerball*

The S14 is a helluva engine. The first couple of years was a 2.3L, 16V, ITB rated at ~200bhp and can be banged out to like 8K rpms (unheard of in the 80's...well..anything non-rotary). Then the DTM series allowed for a 2.5L engine and the M3 Evos were made. I think they made around 230bhp (although the actual DTM cars probably packed closer to 275-300bhp).

Sure, it's no torque monster, and it is pricey to work on, but it fits the chassis well. It's a momentum car like an S2000. Now..if the S14 blew out, I'd probably do what everyone else does and swap in an I-6. The M52b28s that were in the Z3's (2.8) were the only aluminum block I-6s. You can swap crank/rods from S52 into it and save 100lbs (keeping the weight the same as the 4-banger). That's the hidden jewel that a lot of people don't know about.

Scott,
Do you have any more info on the car in the top pic? Just curious as to what it is all about. Looks like it has late model grilles in it.

2007+ S302 extreme, has the right mustang chasis, 302 stroker, 6spd, big ass brakes, tons of boost, 650bhp...it trumps my love of the 99 s351 w/ the 5.8L vortech setup

any 1947-1953 CHEVROLET 5 bar grille fs pickup.

http://image.automotive.com/f/exotic-cars/cars-for-twilight-new-moon-bella-edward-jacob/31400592/1953-chevy-pickup-front-leftjpg.jpg

Specs are as follows
SLOW inline 6 cylinder. Plenty of room with the gas tank in cab lol That is about it. I think it is a sexy ass truck. Especially once you put a 88-98 fs chevy regular cab chassis under it (lowers it 6" just with the chassis) slam it to the ground, put a modern fuel injected v8 under the hood and just ride. That is what I want and have had my hands on a couple of ones some times but somethings just werent there.

No I don't, it was at last years SEMA in Vegas. It had a modified Eleanor kit on it. Cool ride and well built.
