Pull the vaccuum line off the top of the egr and stick it on the long bolt that holds the EGR to the plennum, drive down the road, come back and tell me if your bucking problem has stopped.............

If it does, you need a new DPFE sensor.

I will try that, but WTF is a DPFE sensor & where is it located on my L.

If thats it a case of beer is on the way. Bill

The DPFE is where the other end of that vaccuum line is, they are known to fail (mine failed) and the symptom's are exactly what you describe.

And honestly I wouldn't buy a new one. I'd just delete it the egr and all that spiderweb of vacuum lines and sensors you have going on on the passenger side...........

DPFE= Differential Pressure Feedback Electronic. In a nutshell its a device that controlls the feedback of unburnt fuel fumes through the activation of the egr on your plennum and exhaust manifold.......... Its Emissions BS

The EGR & the DPFE are on the drivers side. Is this what you meant.
If i blockoff the vacuum source to this valve will it bring on the check engine light ??
Would you leave the wiring attached to the sensor & just block off the vacuum source.
Without the EGR opening in theory it just raises the oxides of nitrogen & will raise the combustion or cylinder temperature.
Or do you hook up the EGR valve directly to the vacuum feed hose before it goes to the DPFE control??

I found a part number from borgwarner EGR3001. Advise.

Bill. If you want come by the house and look at my truck. It has a EGR delete. Block off plate is all that you would need. Not hard to fab one either.

Thanks Morey, sounds like a stainless steel EGR block off below the valve.
Easy enough to make & i might gain some fuel miliage due to higher effencently.
Heat makes power. Bill

Like I said if you want to see what Vac lines are re routed come on by. It won't take long. If I am not mistaken. Only 1 of the lines is blocked off!

No it will not throw a code if you just cap off that top vacuum line (thats why I said to stick it on the end of the long bolt, to plug it)

And deleting the EGR you will loose 1-2 mpg not gain, but it cleans up a bunch of junk on the driver side. If you have a handheld tuner you can turn off the EGR and get rid of it all with it.
