Fidanza aluminum flywheel

Just pulled the flywheel off and noticed the ring was very loose. The aluminum flywheel has a steel ring of teeth around it held in place by "rivets".

For all those running an aluminum flywheel, keep an eye on the ring around the flywheel.
The flywheel was still good, except for the loose rivets. Imagine if the ring flies off under load. :shock:

I'm now going with a steel flywheel.

Does your aluminum flywheel secure the ring with rivets?? Take a look !

that's why most run a billet flywheel and not the aluminum one.

I would replace it with a torque converter and all the associated parts that go aft of it!

Great advice and "very tempted". Gotta get the 67' project done first.
