the big 12 will be useless, the sec should look into kansas and missouri, if the big east doesnt try to pick them up, adding kansas to the big east would be awsome in basketball

Wow.... That blows huge for USC. However, I don't see how treating players well and giving them stuff helps them play better. You could give me a mansion, ZR1, and a yacht, and I'm still not gonna run as fast as any running back or throw as good as any quarterback.

On the wonderful subject of college football conferences, Colorado made an awesome move for themselves. They saw the Texas legislators putting something together to edge them out and bring Baylor in. Props to Colorado jumping on the invite, as much as it pisses me off. If Nebraska miraculously decides to stay, I can see the Big 12 bringing in TCU, who I think has done well enough to deserve an invite. Another possibility is yeah, the Big 12 South going to the Pac-10, leaving Baylor, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, and Mizzou in the dust. Then, the Big 10 and the Big East could expand and pick up a few teams. Then, there's the rumors of Texas A&M going to the SEC... I hope, in vain, that the Big 12 stays together and brings in TCU to replace Colorado.

ORRRR....

Here we go!

Nebraska leaves, so...

We get Notre Dame to the Big 12 North!!! Who's with me haha.

Alabama got the same punishment for far less infractions after the 92 championship game. They are just now recovering.

It's about time USC was exposed. I guess Kiffin has his hands full now, or will he bail next year?

But what this does is persuade players to go to one school over another. These are not 1 star recruits getting these offers. These are 4 and 5 star players being enticed to play for a certain college. Greed has made its way down from the NFL all the way into college ball and in some case's high school football programs. IE Memphis high school football coach bribes from a booster in the Albert Means case for Alabama. Boosters should be held accountable not the school programs way after the player has left. Fine the player and the booster heavily and it might just stop. But to punish a college years after the infraction took place just hurts the current players.

I also doubt Notre Dame will join a conference. They do not need the money. They already have a very good TV package. Besides ND will have to actually play someone and no longer play powder puffs to get wins.

PLAYOFFS or it DOESN'T MATTER!

I get so damn tired of hearing about "Who should be Champion", "who has an easier schedule", "who should be ranked higher in the such&such rankings", "what Conference is tougher (hear this from the SEC nuthuggers the most)", etc. So much speculation is allowed when there is no tournament at the end of a season. It goes off of these BS rankings. How Notre Dame manages to lose 3-4 games in a year and still be in the top-25 is proof of that bullshit!

It's tired, it's played...WHO GIVES A SHIT!

Until they utilize a playoff tournament for their championship, I'll continue to flip through college games to get to a fishing show or an episode of "This old House".

I hear ya on the Alabama thing. And the punishing the school long after the player in question is gone. They should punish pas infractions with past consequences, such as vacating wins, etc. And you're right, players do know the difference between right and wrong and should be held accountable for the decisions they make. And the agents and people that enable this sort of behavior.

Yeah... Notre Dame's too good for a conference lol. There's absolutely no incentive.

As for playoffs: I was a huge proponent of a playoff system and still kinda am, but I like bowl week. In a way though, it's looks as though that's where we're headed. It'll be interesting to see what happens after the dust from all this re-conferencing settles...
