I don't have photoshop but I use a program called Paint.net. I think that it will do most if not everything photoshop will and it was a free program.

Another good program is ArcSoft's photo impression.

I've tried my hand at a couple of different Photoshop versions, but they were not that easy to use. I have since erased them off of my computer (they were ripped off of a file sharing site).

Photoshop has all of the "bells and whistles" but for most photo-editing, ArcSoft is more than adequate and very easy for a beginner (especially 'ownage' pics).

MS Paint is awesome. Anyone can "own" someone with Photo-chopping, but to do it with MS paint really means something.
