Well, I'm bored and out at sea in the Arabian Gulf doing survey ops. Pretty much where we map the bottom floor looking for anything "different" using sonar.

Anyhow...with 5 months down and 2 months to go the Cobra is starting to make some progress. Took me a few months to save up the $6100 for the Ford Racing Aluminator long block but I did and it arrived at the shop a few days ago. Looking forward to some pics of it. I bought a PSR k-member, coil-overs, caster cambers as well. What better time rite? I did replace the FR oil pump with a better one though just for piece of mind. I ended up going with a ACT twin disc clutch and heard great things about it. Update to come on that in a few months. Still have some powder painting to do as well as new rims to buy for the track as well as the street. Hoping this build will be done by the time I get home but I will just be happy just to be home and driving the Mach. Still plan on swapping the rear ends when I get both cars back together again and really looking forward to that tech day. Off to work...later.-Shane

Good to hear from you and glad to hear your making progress on the build with the car. What shop is building the motor for you?

Hope they make those ACT twin disks for domestics better than they do for imports.........

We used one of those in my brother's subaru and it was total garbage.

I've never seen/heard of ACT making twin discs...must be something new.

Their single disc aren't bad..probably one of the best singles for DSMs..not so much for evos (lock-out).

Driven an ACT twin in a C5 Vette. Loved it. Driven ACT stg4 single in an RSX, pleasantly suprised.

Shop is in Arizona and the guy in charge of the build I have known on mach1 registry for years. Prior Navy also so he is pretty cool! He just installed the same clutch in a 800rwhp Terminator and loves it. Chris the engine is a Ford Racing Aluminator which has a one year warranty so FORD is doing it:cheers. Hope this build goes better than some in the past!-Shane
