Is that just shortblock? Is he negotiable on his pricing sometimes? I.e. will he compete with LKQ pricing if you want him too?

Very interested in a 4V motor. Can the motors be turned over before pulling to verify if the kick before ya go through the trouble of pulling it? Also do they have the cooling fans in them still?

$410 is for a complete engine.
$410 for an all aluminum 4 valve engine is a steal in my book.
and yes you can turn them over before buying.

What did Clint say?

he said $300.00 for a non opperational motor, just wanted block heads and timing chain cover, nothing else, and the one i had my eye on had water in the cylinders.cause i checked it out really good.just cant see paying that for a motor that isnt any good.when i have already bought 2 from lkq for $125.00 a piece and they have a chain hoist to pull it out.never pulled one at don's but it looked like it could have been a bitch lol.if i would take a motor that is no good to them for scrap $25.00 would be a miracle:hysterical:.but the 4.6 4v's they have look to be in great shape and are well worth what they are asking:bigthumb:

when you pull a motor there you get it all ready to come out then they hook the chains to one of the forklifts and lift it out.... works pretty good.

If all you wanted was block heads and timing cover why take it all?

Long block price is $249. plus core and env fee
whole motor price is $349 plus core and env fee

I've got a seized 4v 4.6 from my 97 Mark VIII that I'll let go for reallllly cheap, if you're interested. It's sitting on an engine stand...

dumb q?

got my dad a 99 mustang GT, what valve is that?

it's ~130k miles or so, wondering if i want to get a 4v for his as a ready spare.

how long will his stock motor last? 4:10 gears, CAI and flowbusters is all done to it.

he barks second with the AOD every time he drives it.

I don't know, you tell me. I would really like to keep the oil pan, intake, IMRC's, and possibly valve covers. If you'll take it like that, you can have the engine stand and all...

Make me a reasonable offer and it's yours.

You would also need the 4v wiring harness and I believe computer also. You have a 2v now. Stock motor can last forever if you maintain it. I have seen some people on some mustang boards with 200k on the stock 4.6 2vs and they drive it cross country alot going to many mustang shows and they "spirit drive" them every now and than too. I am willing to bet that you will be rebuilding the transmission before you are replacing that motor. Especially with its minimum mods.

Cool.

it already had the "MonteC" mod to the tranny when we first bought it ( that's why i got it so cheap, tranny was BAD, Robert had to rebuild it to see if it was worth fixing up the car, it was so bad. )

that thing will rip second every time, nice & hard.

Robert is the tranny MAN!
