I am about to get the Kenne Bell charger from http://www.kennebell.net/superchargers/ford/lighting58-f150-50/f150-50-58-lighting58.htm
Is there anything I should know about this before I order? And what else should I do to make sure it runs smooth when it gets put on the truck..... and if anyone knows how to put it on that would be apprectiated. Mechanics charge out the ass for this.

your going to need some supporting mods too. Guys forrect me if im wrong. Maf extender, dyno tune, maybe injectors, and there are probably others but i cant think of them. Mike went with the wipple and I dont know why. Im sure he will chime in an tell you what he thinks. I think hes the only one thats been down that road so he will be your best source of interest.

Yes, you will need the MAF extender, 60lb injectors, 255 fuel pumps, new fuel rail, different spark plugs, and a dyno tune before you even crank it up. Most tuners will only tune with the SCT Xcal 2 handheld. Mike changed from the Diablo Predator to the XCal 2 and that is what I also have.
Which model KB are you looking at? 2.3 or 2.6? 2.6 is huge for a stock engine, but the 2.3 is outdated. There are other smaller items you will need as well. Don't order this until you figure out who is going to tune this setup and also talk to Mike. Kenne Bell is not going to tune it. I would decide who I want doing this before hand.

Well it was the kit.... The blowzilla 2300. I am not in a hurry to get this thing. i just have the money to do it. I didn't want to port out the eaton if I was going to be getting a new blower anyways. I have heard good things about the KB and the Whipple. I also heard good things about the Stiege, but I am after more than a ported blower. Any suggestions will help. I don't want to be the slow truck anymore.......well not slow but the slowest of the bunch.....

My suggestion is and its more money. If your going this route you will be on the unsafe side with the stock motor unless you get all the supporting mods. So if i were you and this is what im planning on doing as well iis get a built motor and port the heaton for now then later you can get a wipple or kenne bell

My opinion is that if you have the money, I would skip the port and get the KB or Whipple, but you need to get the supporting mods. If I had it to do all over, I would have put the Whipple on, and be making a lot more power than I am now, while spending only a little more, plus I would have a blower for the built motor at a later date. You are just forking out more money up front, as opposed to a little here and there.
The tune IS THE KEY to keeping the stock block together with the larger blower. You can make more power with a KB or Whipple on 14lbs of boost than a port with 18lbs.

I have 8k. Its in Savings now. I dont want to rush and blow it. Well....I got a hood....... and some lakewood traction bars................ too scared to get rims. On my cobra it had 17' then I put 18X10 on the rear and 18X9 in the front and performance sucked after that so I am worried about rims b/c I dont want to lose any performance.

What are your current mods? What are your goals? (short term & long term) How much are you willing to spend?

My current mods...... Well I just got the truck.... only had it 3 weeks now. I have the boost bypass and the oil sep kit. Everyone said to get those first. I just ordered a ftvb. Thats why I am at the site is to see what I need to do. I am thinking long term. I eventually want a monster. I just need to know what I should start building up before I do anything.
