Me: Tara, ill give you 10 bucks if you can tell me who sang the original.
Tara: I heard this on pandora today, isnt the band name a country?
Me: No definitely NOT a country.
Tara: Ugh! I just saw this today! Why cant i remember it. Its not a country right?
Me: No, NOT a country, come on, guess!
Tara: I dont know.
Me: Europe.
Tara: YOU SAID IT WASNT A COUNTRY, FAGGOT!
Me: Last time i checked Europe wasnt a country, FAGGOT.
Tara wins, only a faggott would know Europe sang that song :poke:

Couple of things that strike me from the video:
1. The band actually has a sound technician running around on-stage monitoring the sound (at 1:15). Are you fucking kidding me? I'm not a professional by any means, but I'm of the opinion that the equipment isn't why the sound is what we call "off".
2. Lead singer doesn't have echo effects so he has to repeat words that are supposed to be "echoed". He's also tone-deaf to the fullest degree. It's probably the sound technician's fault..
3. The only audience I saw were two kids running for their lives.
4. The stage is propped-up with wooden skids.
5. The lead singer looks/sound like he is 50..the keyboard player looks like he is 13..and the guitarists play like they are 7...w/ downs.
6. There's actually a fucking sound technician...
Why do you know the band's name, Rob?
I didn't even know the song was sung by Europe. I get all of those old bands like Journey, Toto, Africa, Europe mixed up.

Rob must be an old man.
Hell, I remember when that song, originally, came out. I even owned the CASSETTE. Yes, I grew up in the 80s. Deal with it. LOL.

Im just good like that. Ask Tara, I can pretty much name any band with in the first few seconds of the song on any classic rock station.

Truth. And he's always quizzing me on them, hell if I know most of the time though, I'm not good with band names. I DID think it was Europe since it had been on Pandora that day, but I had a blonde moment between continents and countries. :finger:
Mike's reply ftw. :D
