Southern Truck Shootout...interest?

Ok so, a few of us got to talking on another thread about a Lightning event at a southern track. I chimed in knowing some of the good folks at South Georgia Motorsports Park (Valdosta Ga.) and offered to help organize such an event. I also proposed we do it as an all truck event and have the competetion come out and play.

So here's the idea. This thread is to see if there is actually enough interest to do it.

December 11, 2010 with several classes. Kinda want some input on what everyone wants for classes. Keep in mind, this will be to have fun. I'm not a big bracket racer at all but, if we want a bracket class and there are enough participants, we will have it.

So with those few details, how much interest is there for this?

Even Tyler and Zac can come play. Even unionmanofsteel is free to com with his Chrysler buddies.

Anything can run as long as its a truck or SUV it doesnt matter if you have a gas/diesel/kerosene/E85 motor or a jet turbine and it will be 1/4 . This event will be running in conjunction with their T&T. Seeing as though this is the first year they want to see how attendance will be before they try to rent the track out. Im not sure if theyre going to run any classes or do and structured racing yet but it has been mentioned.

their is a black blazer style lstt one in cary nc its like 900whp or something crazy. their is a black/grey one in mb area i see it once in blue moon.

they seem to be like gnx you seem them every so often...

i cath myself looking at blazers and pickups in that body syle to just check and see if its one. i think i overlook them lol how many were actually made/sold of them?

I mean i guess i would like to keep a happy medium where its still pretty much the same street truck but still performs well at the track... Like the longs bars but not doing the converter yet. IDK the fing thing just sits around I guess I should go balls to the wall drag
