Hey everyone, just wanted some feedback on having a car show sometime in mid to late November at the Goose Creek O'Reilly Auto Parts. There would be separate classes with trophies, food, music, maybe a 50/50 raffle. Any and all thoughts and ideas would be appreciated, it would be on a Saturday so more can attend.

So, talked with the reg. director of LCMA and he is going to help me with organizing this shindig. Definitely going to do it though! November 20th probably start registration at 9am (still have to decide that) Not going to have classes and it is an open show. Will give trophies to top 25 and those will be decided by participant voting and one manager's choice trophies. Will be 50/50 raffle with winner getting half the money and the other half going towards a charity of choice (TBD). Still putting together the details and making a flyer so input is still welcome. What have you liked about previous shows you've been in or attended? There will be food and music (anyone know a hookup on DJ?)

Fliers are being made for the show. It will be november 20th from 3-6pm rain or shine with a $5 registration fee. There will be classes as follows:
1900-1959
1960-1973
1974-1993
1994-2011
Mustang
Corvette
Street rod
Trucks
Tuner

50/50 raffle with proceeds going to benefit camp puff n stuff. First, second, and third place trophies will be awarded along with a managers choice trophy. Hope to see you all there!

Hopefully, I will be able to make it. I am relocating down to the Charleston area and would like to meet some other car people.

Actually... A Cobra could be had without a spoiler. Back home, we had a yellow '98 come into the shop with no spoiler and cloth. The VIN decoded as a true Cobra; but the options were definately strange. As it turns out, it was used as a mule at SVT for development of some of the '99 Cobra's parts. Definately a one-of-a-kind car. So, just saying, while Andrew's car may not be original, a Cobra could be had with som rather unusual options.

Here is a quick way to see what shows you would be up against, most of these are farther south than you but most of the older guys will ride a good ways for a show. Post up a flyer and I will get it to the clubs down here

Already checked it out, I would have it November 20 to avoid any local shows and give me enough time to promo it

Another good place to check is the post and courier car show calendar. Lots of good info there. Also if you want it to get a little more publicity I would give them a call and have them post it up.
That said I hope it works out because I will make it out provided that I am in the area.

I thought that was your car, passed out a lot of flyers there today. If we have a great turnout this time, we can make it bigger and better next time.

Don't feel left out. I didn't get one either! :poke:
Really thought I wasn't there too long... I think the wait to leave the fair grounds was about as long as I was actually there for.
Audie1- Again man that is one nice GN. Wasn't sure if it was the same one (from here) till I saw this thread.

I am going to try to make it out but (like always ha ha) it falls on a weekend that I have good ol work stuff going on.
