Congrats to SC for the win. They came prepared the Tide didn't. If the tide keeps playing like they did yesterday I would predict two more loss's before the end of the year. LSU and "The Barn"(Auburn) at a minimum. But with the next 5 opponents having an off week before playing us there could be more loss's.

Again Congrats to the Gamecocks for a game well played. You deserve the win!

I saw on the news last night where they interviewed the Tide's QB. He has not had a loss since the eighth grade. I guess this loss didn't go over to well with him. He also claimed this would not happen again. Seems like some humble pie tasted really bad!

Tebow also cried like a little girl after a loss. From what I've heard the team was lethargic all week during practice. Guess they didn't take the game serious. But I bet they take the rest of them serious after the butt chewing they probably are getting all week from the coach.

I won't be surprised if Alabama wins the rest of their regular season games, including against at LSU and home against Auburn. I'd hate to be Mississippi this week.
I just hope Carolina doesn't have a letdown. This is a great opportunity to have a special season.

And yes Whaler, the Kitties are awful. But they were 2-3 this time last season and still made it to the ACC Championship game (which, admittedly, isn't something to brag about).

My g/f is a senior up there and some of her clinical partners tried to help save that kid. Apparently his head was run over and he was not responsive. The witnesses claim he was actually pushed under the truck during the altercation, so I would expect to see this ruled out as a homicide. I am also curious to know if the driver and suspect were over the legal BAC.

It make me sick to know that people can be so ignorant/arrogant and let something as simple as a traffic altercation escalate to this extent.

I want to set the record straight about this incident since I was in the opposite lane of traffic adjacent and slightly in front of the truck in which the victim (Gasque) was a passenger. This happened about 8:40 pm on Shop road a couple hundred yards south of George Rogers Blvd. Game traffic was still bumper to bumper in both lanes and I had my window rolled down and had come to a stop. Gasque's vehicle was also stopped. A vehicle in which Simms was a passenger was waiting to exit a parking lot onto Shop Rd. I heard and saw Simms and Gasque yelling at each other. I do not know what they were yelling about. Simms exited his vehicle and approached Gasque's vehicle. When Simms got close to the vehicle, Gasque opened his door and began to exit the vehicle. I saw Simms punch Gasque a couple of times. Gasque ended up lying on the pavement underneath his own vehicle in front of the right rear tire. Almost instantly, the driver of Gasque's truck pulled forward and ran over Gasque lengthwise of his body from his feet to his head. I do not know if the argument was over the game or who pulled for what team. I do know that Simms had on an Alabama logo polo shirt when the incident happened, but he left the scene. Simms later returned with a white t-shirt on.
The article states Gasque fell under the wheel of a passing vehicle. That is not true. He ended up underneath his own vehicle that was stopped at the time. The driver of that vehicle pulled forward and ran over Gasque.

I really don't see why anyone takes a game so serious. It's just a game!
This is also the reason why I have not had any interest in sports most of my
life. Any time people talks sports, it just turns into an argument about this and that and it never really gets anywhere. It does get people killed apparently.... I did happen to watch this game though and was rooting for the gamecocks because I know way too many people that go to Alabama who think that they are unstoppable. Some people I know thinks that Bama can beat NFL teams! It was a great game and loved watching Bama get beat
