Just selling my tbss I got a few weeks ago.

08 Chevy Trailblazer SS AWD
46k miles.
Second owner/ clean carfax.
Lowered 2 inches all around.
House of Color black painted satin finish
Custom suede headliner.....its 99% black inside.....

Has everything but nav.

Asking price is 26,400. Thats around 2-3k under retail between black book, nada, kbb, edmunds ect.....

AWD arent worth that much more. MSRP may be 39K+ but that mean anything in todays market when you can buy almost any car for tens of thousands under MSRP. I have bought and sold a couple TBSS, they don't hold there value very well. Good luck with the sale.

Its an 08 which are selling for over 25k.....its been 3 years since the 08s came out....kinda sounds like its holding its value to me :)

Check autotrader.....ebay.....carmax......none of the tbss for sale are near mine. All are 28k+

My insurance is 56 a month for full coverage....so its not that bad

He could do the swap in his shop in summerville and he already has a good relationship with Gerald and familiar with tbss. As long as I get a planetary and hardened parts im happy.

Don't just look at price. Look at longevity, customer service, and who uses good parts.

I have seen on many message boards were company X is what everyone loves and uses. But company Y makes a far superior product that will outperform company x any day of the week but you don't hear about it because of all the site praising (usually sponsors) of company x.

If you're in the tri county area come look at em.....showzones painter is pretty dam good.

They are not "painted" from factory, they are polished aluminum with a clearcoat on them (okay, okay, I know it's paint, but you get my point). Hence the reason mine are now powdercoated, as the clear doesn't like most wheel cleaners. And for $75/wheel, I probably paid less than you did for paint.

And if you don't curb them, then there's no down time at all. EDIT: How long did it take for them to remove tires and paint wheels, remount tires? I had mine powdercoated/mounted/balanced in three days flat.

Anyway, good luck with sale, and good luck keeping the paint on those wheels in good shape. Truck looks good. On its way to looking like mine...imagine that.

My RPM transmission has performed very well. 35k and many, many passes at the track (1/8th and 1/4th mile passes).

However, when I was looking to get a built transmission I didn't know much about the local builders and many people have had issues having their trans. built locally on the TBSS forums. I am currently having Gerald build my 4L80E for my Camaro, and after speaking with him in person, I would not hesitate to have my trans in my TBSS built by Gerald in the future when it needs it.

Ive had a performabuilt apart before. I think it was Paul White's. Not impressive for the high price tag they command.

and as for putting my money where my mouth is, you dont want to do that even if the car was on the road. that day was wastegate 10psi with corked 2" testpipe to 2.25" catback, its now on 18psi with full 3" exhaust. not to mention the 185 wide tires i had spinning that day. it wouldnt be a good race now, i'm over 300whp compared to the 215whp i was at that day. maybe we'll catch each other again one day in a better situation and do it again.

and your truck definately sounds cammed, but i only heard it at idle for a second when my buddy turned his bike off.

We might have a cammed tbss on here that you can race if you want to see how fast a cammed one is.

I raced a red turbo civic (not sure what year) a few years ago with my truck on St James we rolled down our windows and he expressed his surprise and claimed he had 300 whp.

there has only been a handful of 300whp civics in charleston in the last few years, if yall raced on St james it was probably in 2nd gear only, there is NO way i'd go 90+ on st. james.. or anywhere else in GC. a stock lightning would most likely whip me until i get into 3rd gear when the "brick" effect takes place on the truck.

I cant verify his claims but it was red and from what I remember it had some sort of fender vents. IIRC it was also gutted. It definitely wasn't a high speed or long race (maybe 60ish from a dig) but he was surprised. Seemed like a pretty cool dude.
