So I got the S10 down in SC.

I dont know what I am going to do with it.

Right now it doesnt have a motor or trans in it.

I have an LS1 Long Block(thanks to Matt), but I am not sure what to do with the truck.

Any ideas? it will be a streetable truck(some know my definition of streetable), but its mission is to go deep into the 9's

let me know what you think.

i am going to do that, but do i want to fuel inject it or run a carb with a TH350?

Your choice. Carb is less wiring gain a little bit of power with it also.

put a turbo on it. DD it all day long and pull the fronts at the track.

stay fuel injected. you might be surprised that it will be cheaper than going carb depending upon the year. to go 9's in the quarter and stay dd look up blackx on youtube and s10forum. he iS fuel injected, turbo and daily driver.

i hope he was talking about 9s in the 1/4. i would go turbo just from past experiences. makes good power on stock motor. or a 250 shot and drive around on motor and be ok

ok i will look into the Fuel Injection, I think that a turbo build might be possible. I just dont know enough about tuning to set it up.

have someone else tune it then. they are not the complicated and are fun ass hell on the street and track

i am kinda leaning towards a turbo with the LS1.

I already have the long block, but I have planned on running with a carb and a big n2o plate under it.

this is mostly going to be for racing where i "CAN" drive it to a cruise in

Right now this is what i am planning.

Engine
LS1 with a bunch of goodies in it
Edelbrock Victor Jr Carb intake
Holley carb(cfm depends on engine internals)

TH-350 RMVB, TB and Nitrous converter

9" rear(gears TBD)

Caltrac knock offs with coil over rear shocks and anti roll bar

Roll cage

Fuel cell in the back

this is just a basic idea.

my big hang ups are the Cam, carb size, gears and converter

most everything right now is disassembly and cleanup. the good news is that it is an base model 99 with manual locks and windows

I am basically going to remove everything that I dont need and box the frame in and strengthen it up really well.

it is in pretty good shape and just needs a coat of paint over the ugly ass green that the company painted it(Gregory pest control) lime green

other than that, I think that it should be set.

I really care about going fast not so much of the extra show car stuff.

I am going to splurge on the wheels though and go with some gold magnums with a gloss black paint job and some ghost flames(nothing too fancy though)

I agree with everything you have planned except the carb. Look for a C&S built carb. Put a 250 hit on it and go!

i will look into those. I forgot to add in the two-step and a couple of other small things

I would most deff stay fuel injected ... and if u decide to turbo it you could throw a FAST XFI on it an log everyshit an get a dead on tune.
