I'd say for a daily driven, nice, reliable car 12's are pleanty fast (my opinion). Considering you'd be faster than 99% of the cars on the same roads.

A decent DD should run atleast in the 11's 1/4 or 7's 1/8! Unless its the wife's commuter to work, which I have been wanting to upgrade for yrs but she still likes it!

Unfortunately I'm not mechanically inclined so I have to pay for my go fast installs. I'd push for 10's, but not worth the money on a car I put 3,000 miles a year on.

The Charleston area seems overpriced on install prices for things.

My car ran 12's with the stock engine in it, even with the stock cams still. I can't talk to much shit because I don't have a time slip yet with the new setup but assuming I can drive worth a crap my daily driver should be a mid 11s car.

I thought my car was fast when it ran 12's but now my car feels slow when I am detuned down to those power levels (I did a real conservative tune and low boost for the drive across the country last month)

Not at all just havn't seen any around here lately, and since I grew up here then there's where my opinion comes from. Use to see some 7 sec ones (1/8th) at lowcountry here and there when I went out there all the time. But none lately.

They can easily be done JPEG. Editing isnt even that hard. You dont even have to take the shot in multiple exposures for HDR. You can just use a filter in PS or LR



Back to fast hondas. Just about every one that i have seen go down the strip at Darlington have a bandwagon of nut-swingers and expel majority of their fluids and/or internal components within the compounds of Darlington at some point.

Hell I raced a gold four door nissan maxima from 40 -100 a few years go. I was still on the ported eaton with 481/476 and this guy was about 3 cars behind me at 100. Built with twins...any car can be fast. -Shane

Oh well... Let em say it. 400rwhp is fast. I mean 400 rwhp in an Ariel Atom would be a lot faster than 400 rwhp in my Corvette. It's all relative.

I like "refined" power. I'd like to have the power/reliability/looks, etc... I wouldn't hesitate to jump in my car and take a road trip across county. I mean for godsake I got 32 mpg on my trip from Atlanta. I'm not building a race car. Just a semi daily driver with good power.

To your opinion stock. I have a few "just for looks" mods and then intake and exhaust. I just got the damn thing. Sorry, I haven't fully built the motor yet. I guess for a joke, I thought it had to be funny? Fast and the Furious was 2001. I can't double clutch... it's an automatic :hysterical:!

The GTRs have grown on me. One of the first ones in the states ran the One Lap of America a few years ago but I was unimpressed when I saw it on the road course at Carolina Motorsports Park.

The GTRs have grown on me. One of the first ones in the states ran the One Lap of America a few years ago but I was unimpressed when I saw it on the road course at Carolina Motorsports Park.

I really liked the Conquest TSIs as well.

I saw a conquest tsi on ls1tech that a guy put a 370 with a 80mm turbo in it with about 900rwhp. It was pretty sick.

Several people accept the chalenge including a bone stock 5.0 Mustang v6 Mustang and a G8.

Someone thinks 12's are fast but thinks 1/8th mile is gay. (I can only asume its because they want to play with their radio in that 12 second monster the other 1/8th thats left in the 1/4?)

Everyone starts e-racing to make fun of the new guys that obviously don't know too much about going fast or they would have started this whole thing off a little diferent. And in starting this off a little different and doing some research they would find that we are all "equal opportunity trash talkers" here everyone is equally worthless no matter what "crew" your in. (ie: say something stupid and you become a target regardless)

The key to this is, there are no brand specific's on this forum, many people on here have many different makes of vehicles domestic and import, so its not about someone's Civic or someones Mitsubishi or someones Subaru or Ford or Chevy or whatever. Here, its about whats fast and what's not. There are plenty of low 11 and 10 second cars around here that are daily driven with all the amenities, most of them are on this forum and most of them are made by different manufacturers.

The word 10 second street or daily driven and the word Civic all in the same sentance would be something I would think you could see on the Sci-FI channel after an advertisment of "lost in space".

i didnt have time to read all of this thread but i got kicked in the nuts for years when i had my honda. its alright, it made some money and pissed people off. i dont think its fast but my old 11.80 1/4, 7.6 1/8 $6-$7000 dollar all motor, dd, 20+ mpg, 93 pump, red honda civic hatch was fun and reliable. that was almost 5 years ago and there were much faster ones, just not around these parts. when it comes to imports people will always joke. thats what made it fun

Imports usually become a joke because of their owners, I've had/built some fast imports and I'm not talking about your typical driver seat only gutt box, but a fully loaded comfortable good looking (no over the top BS wings and body kit/rim ricer garbage) import.
