i got a Bilo card,
and every time I use it, i can get 20 gallons, but then, it locks up my credit card, and I can't get the rest of the fuel I need.
truck holds 34 galloons.
i was gonna buy some with the Bilo discount card,
then buy the rest with my Sunoco "gum & soda" discount card.
but i could not get ANY.
even beat the crap out of the pump with the nozzle
backed up, tried another pump, it would NOT authorize my same credit card
should I have tried a different credit card?
i HATE stopping for gas, if I nurse it, I can go Friday to Friday, and get 3 cents off at the PIG at 78/Ladson.

I never have problems with the fuel perks, just bought 20 gallons for the Monster last week (65 cents off, woohoo). I used cash for it though.
I HAVE had trouble trying to use a credit card twice in a row at the pumps though (cut me off at $75 filling the truck once, then it wouldn't authorize it for the rest) and have tried moving to another pump to use it but it still wouldn't authorize it. I guess it's probably a "safety" thing, like if someone stole the credit card and is trying to use it to fill multiple cars, or in case you left it there or something and someone tried to use it again after you. Next time use a different card for the two. It's a pain in the ass, but will probably work.

All pumps do it. Use a different card.

Most pumps cut me off at $75. Like the other day I put 75 on my credit then 9 and change on my debit!

I think if you go inside they can over ride it.

I pump 3 times at the pig.
Once for all free gas off PIG card
Pay second time with 3 cent discount. $75 limit
Pay third time with 3 cent discount. Same card. Ususlly get 3 to 12$ worth

I know when I pay with my credit card and the pump shuts off I have to walk inside to have them over ride the machine to get my card to work again.
Thats without using any discount card.
Thats why I pay in cash.

I never have that problem which is odd. Last fill up was over $75 and it kept going. Now if dad fills up with diesel at the same stations it will shut him down.

I never put more than $35 at a time. It just a mind game so it seems to hurt less.

that might be key, are you using a debit card, a credit card tied to a bank account, or a TRUE credit card?
i have read over and over $75 was limited by the banking institutions.

Blocks, limits vary
Each card has its own rules on limits. Corporate credit cards typically have higher limits than personal cards, and fleet cards, used by corporations and other groups managing multiple vehicles, can go as high as $150, a limit that will probably not be questioned until gas prices double again. Discover, however, specifically limits gas pump purchases to $50
but what is killing me is the 20 gallon limit & not being able to pump a second time.
it takes a lot of time, effort and fuel to stop, pay, pump (30 gallons takes a while).
why shut off the car multiple times to pump gas, when i should be able to FILL UP at one stop.
the Bilo/Sunoco bit is almost like a Math Quiz, with swiping all the different cards, punching buttons & putting in your ZIP code.
i hit YES once instead of ENTER after the ZIP, and it blocked my card. arrrrgggg...
i don't want to go in. i am anti-social. i don't want to meet the good people who run the local sunoco :)

I use my debit card as a CC. I don't want my pin number out there for someone inside to view .

I do $40. Lol. I think I drive less when I have less gas.

i put $150 in friday: $75 in each vehicle,
took both to Truck race in Darlington (took youth group at church)
put another $60 in the SUV monday (was only down around a quarter tank?)
retired the diesel: took it to CACTUS, got outside done.
took it to Quarter Squirter, psi washed the mats and the carpet and cloth seats (dodge cloth seats are pathetically dirty looking). took it home, vacuumed it about 5 times, put 2 fans in it & left doors open overnight & fans running. got home last nite, vacuumed the pollen out of it, closed it up, and left it in storage in the backyard.
Did anybody else notice that the EXXON on Rivers has ethanol free 93... In case you have a boat or something else that runs on prem. and doesn't like ethanol in gas.

Yep. So does the pig on 78. Exxon on Sav. Hwy has ethanol free 89 as well.

The pig on 78 doesnt mark it up. Its the same price as ethanol mixed 93 somewhere else.
Very cool shit, I might be going there to fill up from now on if I can help it.
