yep.... and I am no professional....
rattle can clearcoat... Its not perfect, but looks million times better and pretty decent for what it is. Still alot of flaws in the car, but looks alot better.
I did a half ass buffing of the car, still has alot of swirls, I'd problaby have to wetsand it or something, but not really looking to put that much work into it.

How did you sand the clear without taking off any color?

I half assed wetsanded...
I could slip the sandpaer under the clearcoat and peal pieces up... I touched it up with a razor, but it picked off like dead skin on a bad sunburn.
Since I had varous layers of exposed paint, it had like 10 different shades... I hit it and the edges of the clear that still existed with 600 grit, couldn't find my 800 grit, went straight to 1000 grit. I wiped in between which made it a little damp, but the last few runs I used alot of water, final cleaned it with a little IPA, made sure it was clean with dry wipes and started clearing...

Looking around I did see they had rattle can wheel paint, anyone ever use that? I was considering going to a gunmetal gray... Well just flat out replacing the wheel too.
I don't think I have the energy to strip, sand, and polish the wheels.

you can do it with tires on the wheel, get a pack of index cards and put inbetween the wheel and the tire around the bead, makes masking easy

That'll work also....used masking tape here. -Shane

Was a need for primer? On Home Depot page, it states primer is needed. The few videos I saw of user applications, there was no primer used.
