Me and the future wifey are taking a few days the week after the wedding to go to Charleston for the mini honeymoon. We are going to Jamaica in Aug for the big one. I Havnt been to Charleston in years and last time we stayed in Isle of Palms. But Id like to stay downtown for a reasonable price. Anyone know? Got the hookup? Got a extra room?

You may be able to hook up with a Bed and Breakfast downtown. If your looking strictly for a hotel there are a few around Marion Square.

Any of those would be great. Obviously, some more expensive than others. If you're looking for "cheap" I don't think you'll find a decent hotel "in" downtown, but possibly just outside the King St., Meeting St., East Bay St. area.

If your not stuck on downtown you could check out one of the highest rated B&B's in the country although it isnt cheap by any means.

CALL INDIGO INN!!! I am in downtown weekly. IT IS THE SPOT DUDE!!! The rooms at the Jasmin House are larger, more of a suite feel, much more romantic for your newly married ass. Trust me, Anne and I have been in there. Its what you will want. Personally I like the Jasmin House better, it is run by the Indigo Inn.

I had her check out the Anchorage, she likes that. Its right at the top of my price range of $190 a night. The Indigo just seemed to old for us.

I always stayed at the Charleston Place. Get a suite. You will be on the topo 2 floors. They always have food up there and a bar, its free. Figured into the price im sure, but you can drink like a fish and get your moneys worth. That's what i do.

Wife and I stayed at the Vendue Inn our wedding night. Really nice place and pretty good prices too.
