Was in the process of installing the 4L80E Gerald built, into the TBSS and ran into some issues. I wasn't able to resolve these issues before I left for Afghanistan, so I had the TBSS towed to Geralds. After weeks of troubleshooting, discussions with the converter builder & Transgo, along with removing/installing the trans & valve body multiple times Gerald was able to resolve the issues.
I was very impressed with the determination & hard work that Gerald put in to get the issues resolved. So, once again I will highly recommend Gerald for your transmission needs!

At least we have it narrowed down to a TCM now. Can't wait for the replacement one to get here to close this project up. I'm glad I finally found out that one of my fellow trans builders here locally has a TransX 2000 stand alone shifter box. You disconnect the vehicle harness completely, and run the trans from the box in your lap. You can call up any gear, vary line pressure, and command lockup at any time with this controller. Your trans works as it should from this box.
However, I have a sneaky suspicion that you will be looking to tighten this converter up some once you get back and make some forced induction passes!

Yeah, especially when the TCM acts differently with the wheels off the ground vs. running the vehicle with the wheels on the ground. That had me locked into an endless diagnostic loopdie-loop for a while!
I can finally rest when anything I put my name on works as it should!
