I took the truck today to get it looked at. The guy that owns CustomCar Care has a bunch of trucks he runs at the track here at Myrtle Beach. Apparently the truck never had a chip, it had a tuner that plugged into where a chip would go, there is a tune on the truck but it is for what the guy that had it before me used to have on the truck. It was put back to stock when he got rid of it and sold the performance parts and the tune was for what he had. So I am hoping that the next time at the track wont be such a blow out. Thanks for all the help guys. I appreciate it. We shall see what it will do now. Plus the little couple doolar fix me ups that are needed. It will be ok.

Im not sure i understand but ill give it a try.

Im not positive but none of the rest of us a using a "CHIP" we all use a hand held tuner. If the previous owner used a "CANNED" tune (one that comes on a programmer) you should really get a 1)dyno tune or 2) mail order tune with the 6# pully your using.
It was put back to stock when he got rid of it and sold the performance parts and the tune was for what he had.
If i understand this correctly you are saying you have a factory program in your truck. If that is the case you sould be really careful until you get a tune and that would rule out any passes at the stip.
Good luck I hope you get it figured out. Im sure some other guys will chime in and give you there input aswell.
What did the guy at C.C.C do to the truck? or did he know the guy that owned the truck, and was able to give you all the information. Your post is kind of confusing.

From what I get out of it it seemed that the previous owner had a s#$t load of mods and parted them all out , then left the pulley on there with the tune he was running with all those mods. And I belive he meant that they checked for a chip and instead they found out he had a flash from a pred/SCT.

The kit your ordered "E" off of rpm outlet, comes with a tuner whether you picked the SCT or the Predator, if the truck does not have a tune on it i agree with what chris said, be careful with the truck until you at least get a tune with the predator or SCT, or even better drive up to anderson one day and get rick to tune it or have him send you a tune through email once you get a tuner. Let me know and i will meet you there at amazon racing because im in clemson if you decide to do that. Other than that be careful with the truck until you get a chance to at least put a tuner on the truck.

Also, Mitch put everything on that Daryl bought with the "E" kit 2 days so you should get in touch with him and see if he can do it before this weekend if you want to.

This is what I am saying. Sorry I am confusing about this stuff. I try not to be. I will be working this weekend so no passes and I hope the truck is running right by the following weekend.
