Gawddamn smartphone.....any who was just out at LKQ the have two LS motors if anyone's looking. One in a 1500 and one in a 2500 which I guess us a 6.0 . Snatch em up just no mustang swaps please.

Was the 1500 4x4? My z71 has almost 290k miles and the steering box is sloopy

some early 6.0's were notorious for piston slap. guess he rev'd it to high.

That they are. You would be surprised at what the ls motors can handle. From my short term experience they are great. The hyper pistons in our motor is handling plenty of nitrous still. Only flaw I see with the ls motors is the truck intake manifolds. :shock: I plan on trying to get 700rwhp out of the ls motor in the blazer with nothing done to it internally but a turbo cam. Mind you HYPER PISTONS also :cheers

I don't doubt they aren't. Anything will run with a big enough shot of gas or turbo.
