I need some new shoes. My personal trainer laughed at my nearly decade old shox. They are pretty beat. I cant decide between these two, nearly identical but one is "murdered out" the other has the white accents. The black/black shoes are about 20 bucks cheaper. Opinions? Do you even care?

??.. who cares? if you care get what you want, but my boy always orders his stuff online and says it's way cheaper than the store. If your price isn't already offline I could ask him where (nikeoutlet, if I had to guess). But my kinect dosen't rag on me about my shoes
I will add I just got some new sperries, with the AVS technology I think they call it.. and damn they are a boat shoe but for running I like them TONs better than any newbalance or nikes I have ever had.

Retarded. Look into the Nike Lunarfly or something of the equivalent. Shox are terrible shoes for running of any kind.

I used to think the same until I came across the Lunarfly. Other than that, I like asics.

I picked up a pair of Brooks GTS 10's from the advice of the people at TrySport's in Mt P.
its been 9 months and i have since dropped 4 mins off my 5k and 10 mins off my 10k, running is fun again.
about time for a new pair.

If they are going to be strictly a running shoe, go for a more dedicated brand for running like Asics, New Balance, Brooks, Saucony.
You also need to find out if you have a neutral, over-pronated or under-pronated step. If you are neutral...you don't want a stability shoe. If you are over-pronated (most common) you need a stability running shoe to help stabilize.
----------------------------------------------------------------------
Then you have the other, newer train of thought that you should run as close to bare foot as possible (without these 'moon-boot' running shoes). Those are the guys running around in those 5-toe'd Vibrams..ghey as hell.
I've tried running in my soccer flats for a couple of months and have mixed feelings about it. Good and bad. Because of my experience, I have dumped my Kayano-15s and started using some basic addidas running shoes that allow me to run mid-foot a lot easier than the typical "high Heel" style running shoes.
So..if you are a heel-striker (always land on your heels), stick with a running/trainer shoe. If you always land on your mid-front foot, go for a lighter, flatter shoe. Although I am not a fan of Nikes much, they are have some model shoes that are light and flat for those wanting to get away from teh conventional running shoes but don't quite want to look ghey wearing those 5-toed Vibrams. Plus..they offer just a tad bit of cushion compared to barefoot/Vibrams.
I don't think you should be worried about shoes... some new steel toes on the other hand...

I got the top pair to use Daily. I like the murdered pair but they did not have those.
Running shoes asics all the way. Fuck reebok and nike, over priced over advertised shoe made only for style. Actually pissed me off, had to take back my 1st pair because the bottom was coming apart.

I wear a size 14 and it's a bitch finding shoes. Zappo never has the size I want in the style I want. I have to dig around all over the interwebz to find shoes. I use New Balance for running, they're great, I use Nike Dunk Lo's for everyday walking around, so comfortable, and they have them in every size.
