How about air filter, fuel filter, oil filter, cabin filter, new tires and mods?
Best thing you can do is stay away from German and Italian cars if you value your money.

I wouldn't ever mod it but an air filter is 46$ for passenger and 56$ for the driver side
oil filter is 36$
one 02 sensor is 246$ and it takes 4 :eek2:

My buddy had that exact car and had less than 60k miles on it and the brake job alone was over 1500 bucks. A year later his tranny was slipping and costed him over 3500 dollars. Needless to say he has now sold the car to some unlucky person. Just FYI. They are awesome cars and have luxury beyond most american cars but are insane on their parts and service.

I was going to get my wife a mercedes e class and just the regular maintenance items made my wallet cringe. I rather stick my manhood in a blender than have to keep up the maintenance on that after I saw that. and it appears BMW is the same way

The regular maintenance can be expensive if you take it to the dealer, but they last forever. My mom has a 99 E320 with over 150k miles on it, never had any issues and it looks and drives like it did the day she had it shipped from Germany.

So you have to pay high maintenance fees forever?

Depends on what you mean by high I suppose. Oil changes and some parts are more expensive, but the car has lasted longer than any other she's had, and still drives and looks new. If you ask her she won't even hesitate to tell you it's worth it.

Trust me I know all about it. I have just as many Mercedes in the driveway as I have Fords. :bigthumb:
Hondas do the same thing for less.

This is true, I think if you can afford them Benz's are great cars, for us mere mortals, Hondas are the alternative lol
