Laptop repair?

Anyone know a place that does laptop repairs that won't rape me? My Thinkpad will power up, but nothing else. It's like the BIOS isn't there. This happened a couple of years ago, but it came back to life. Now, I have been trying to turn it on for a couple of days without success. This is highly inconvenient as it is a PITA to watch videos at work.

Same thing happened to mine. All I did was buy a new hard drive from Amazon.com and Windows 7 from Best Buy. After install of both everything has been great since.

I have a new HDD in the machine. It doesn't even act like it did when the last drive took a crap.

I may also just put a PC together and deal with the laptop later.
