Why make it happen next year if its not feasible to do so? You have your whole life to make it happen. http://www.carolinahorsepower.com/forum/images/smilies/Bigthumbs-up.gif

After looking at some of the results Id be pretty competitive in the DD class.

I wouldn't mind doing it either, something different to do. Also that gray mustang in the first video with Huber performance is a 2.3 stroked to a 3.0 4 cylinder turbo. Have run with him in True street in Bowling green, and it will fly..:bigthumb:

start saving money if you want to go, im planning on the trip costing 4-5k, between fuel, food, hotels, and probably having to get parts overnighted to the track, lol

IMO, this year the cars were the slowest they have ever been. but alot less breakage or cars dropping out. seems to me most guys have figured out what it takes to survive. the stories of mushroomed lifters, brokin axles, overheating, etc i told Kevin on our way out there were just that, stories.

the orange Camaro ran 2400 rpms hauling ass down the road. seems everyone has sacrificed ET for gas milage, cooling and less breakage. Kev's bone stock camaro was running 1900 rpm's. for example, a 28 inch tire and 4.10 gears would be around 4000 rpms at same speed and you will not make the trip running an engine that hard especially with temps 100 outside.

gas stations were far apart this year. need at least a 12 gallon tank. power adder is your friend at drag week. still have some more pics to add to this

I'd love to go to this just as a spectator. I've thought about it for a couple of years but money, kids, and life take over. Maybe next year!
