Nexen's hook pretty good. Usually the cheaper the tire the softer the rubber.

I had these on my S2000, and I didn't really like them. Obviously the car didn't make enough power to have traction issues, but I did not feel as confident in regards to handling as I do with other tires.

ive been 1.7xx 60's with the 4.6 and a 5 speed. I know wheelie bar Paul has been a 7.5ish with them. They work for a cheap tire.

we were running consistent 1.7/1.8 or so with ~20 psi in our drag radials on the Nova

we dropped PSI to 15 and ran a 1.5 sixty foot. that's wife driving, leaving on foot brake.

they were 275/60-15, IIRC, (Hal or Jr may correct me, bought them from him)

or, are you talking about a TREADED tire you can DD, not just something "technically legal"

we drive the nova on the skreet with 25 psi in them, but not DD, just out & about

Kerry Jamison went 11.98 on his 315 Sumitomos. Not sure the 60', but pretty stout. Cheap too.

yep, thought of that AFTER i posted, like a dummy. last time i saw the RCF, it was in storage, i was not thinking of it as a DD 'real tire' scenario, sorry.

i thought Firestone SZ-50's had a real LONG tread block in the center, and were the hooking'est things going for a while?

I like the Nitto 420s I had on the truck. I was not making huge power like some (350hp/370tq). But behind the 3200rm converter, I could roll into pretty hard without breaking traction.

I don't have any first hand experience with the NT05's, but if they're anything like the NT05R, they'll probably do fairly well.

Just get a set of BF goodrich drag radials and then dremel the word drag off the sidewall. I know if it didn't say drag radial on the side you damn sure cant tell its a racing tire...

I have them on my car now and they are not comparable to the NT05R's. They are about the same as the 555R's.
