Was wondering what some of you other guys with different platforms were paying to build(not buying a junk yard motor and slapping it in the engine compartment) your motors from oil pan to intake (including power adder if applicable).
Mine was around 10k for everything.
BTW this isnt intended to be a dick measuring contest.

Damn.. I built my Evo's motor for I would guess around $4k. I made my own stuff, did damn near everything myself. The only thing I actually paid for (for the most part) was the block machining and the head machining only because I didn't have access to the machines. The big expense of building my stuff was all the tools I bought to be able to do it. But hot damn after I was done I have quite a plethora of tools....
And still a slow Evo. Fak! Haha
In theory $6500 give or take

All said and done now with the p1sc about 4-5 grand. Though I am just running a slow little 306.
I do all the all the work (with the exception of transmission work) myself though. Saves a crap load of cash and I'm a cheap ass so it works out.

Stock motor
Supercharger : 3800
Fuel System :1500
Tuning/Misc: about 500
Out about 6k over the stock car so far and only scratching the surface. Its still a pretty cheap setup when you think about its potential for 100$ pulley changes.
No its a DolSVT00/Chrisheltra
What's the spec list on it?

On my 4g63 I spent about 6 or 7k from oil pan to turbo I would say, and that was completely built from the ground up.
Damn I miss that car...

More than I should have spent, since I didn't feel a difference. I'd like to spend more, but Corvette tax is bullshit.

I didn't include labor because there wasn't any outside labor included on my build with the exception of the machine work which was about $350.

I got the invoice from the build the original owner had done and it's $13,445.41 with $8000 of that being parts but it also includes lowering kit, alignment, adjust headlights....etc and dyno tune.
I paid 11g for the truck. :cheers

I dont know what it would cost to build and i hope i dont have to find out for quite some time. Just to replace what came in the car from the factory would be between 13-14k.
1st gto i had was about 8,000 for the 402 and heads and blower cam without procharger. 2nd rebuild about 8,000. i switched to afr 225 heads and a different cam on the 2nd build stroked to a 408.

You probably only have 6 in the long block.
