anyone know of an abandon'd parking lot i can do figure 8's in that is close to the ladson/78 area?

once in a while my rear diff starts making noise, about 10 figure eights in a parking lot gets the fluid back in the clutch packs. seems to work pretty good.

I usually end up doing them at Azalea Square, but like to find something closer..

p.s. figure 8's in a parking lot at 3am in a vette gets the attention of LEO's fast!! LOL

Why not add a bottle of friction modifier and be done with it? Just asking....

The only other place I can think of is one of the plants off of the Palmetto Parkway Road in Ladson.

I could see that happening I live in the apartments right behind it and I see cops there every now and then. I don't usually hang out there just have some fun and then get home in 20 seconds.

Be cautious about adding friction modifier. It usually comes in 4 ounce bottles, but only add 2 ounces at a time and give it a few days to work in. Too much of it will encourage the dreaded one wheel peel regardless of how fresh your clutch packs are.

So far, with stock posi units that I have been into just for a gear change, I have only refilled the units with synthetic 75W-140 gear oil and NO friction modifier at all. None have had issues with clutch pack chattering around turns and none have developed one tire frying.

no friction modifier used. just two quarts of this GM fluid 88862624

but that was back in jan of 2008 when i got the car, covered under warranty..

Have you looked at the fluid yet? On several c5 and c6 I have worked on with your kind of power, almost all ended up needing new clutches. It was pretty obvious as soon as I drained the fluid.

I'm too scared to check!! I got a quote today from RPM. lvl 5 4L65e auto conversion. When it goes I'll start the quest for 8's. Lol

There is a parking lot on Eagle Dr. between Rivers and Fain st. not Eagle landing but a little ways down. Its an empty office building with a very large parking lot. Ive seen sport bikes and four wheelers out there but its not really visable from the main roads. Right after you turn off of Rivers its on the left before the overpass. Might also be a good place for a meet. the Interstate is between the lot and any residential areas.

Go over off redbank just before the tracks take a right in front of wings ect, theres a couple abandoned buildings back there with loading docks and parking areas you can duze up.
