I was thinking about getting these stripes on my Corvette... I was going to do flat black for the main color and gloss black for the lining.

You have work lights on that car? They could pay you just to go out and catch people racing on the interstate cause i wouldnt think twice.

No lights in it... I wish! I think the only "hooked up" car is North Charleston's Mustang GT. White with black racing stripes.

The City of Charleston used to have a notchback back in the day. Black, tinted windows and chrome wheels.

do them in plasti-dip to see if you like it... there's your flat/matte black finish and if you dont like it, peel it off... i think it would be subtle but would look good

I retract my earlier post. The stripes in Gloss and Flat would look good. Didn't read the whole post. Thought you meant the orange.

See about getting the people that do wraps to make up a couple of flat stripes for you. If you ever get tired of them, simply peel them off.

You make a good point... I'm gonna do vinyl and if I don't like it, toss it...

i may be retarded, but why do you need the gloss black outline when you have a gloss black car?

To contrast the flat black. Since the color won't be 100% match it will "pop" just a little to notice the flat black.

Psssshhh... I'm the typical geriatric Corvette owner. It comes out of the garage on Fri and Sat only. Come on man... these cars are meant to be parked, not driven.

Yeah. I'm not big into cheesy appearance modifications, which I think this is, but I believe I'm going to try and go the vinyl route.

The shelby pic looks much better. I know the "murdered out" thing is supposably played out.. but it still looks good on just about anything done right.

Oh hell yeah... I like that Shelby. Flat black (only) it is.

Got 4 2" wide strips of flat black vinyl and put same stripes on a friends black SRT4 Neon.

Looks really good. I say do it and see what you think. If you hate it, peel it off.

To make it symmetrical, whomever cuts the vinyl needs to do both strips evenly spaced on one piece of backing paper or whatever they call it. That way you don't have to risk putting one on at a time and messing up the spacing. TRUST ME.
